We have been buying DBB from infancy when the bread was still being tested, hand delivered and baked at the Lillegard home … and it is the BEST bread! We partake in all the treats and love those too! So thankful for this great bakery in Duluth.

Hidden Gem along Superior Street.
The smell hits you as soon as you walk off the street. It smells absolutely amazing!
All the bread is delicious and made locally and super simple. Yeast, flour, water and salt.
Make sure to get some cheese curd bread!!

Took a short walk from the hotel to try this out. Really glad I have to get in a plain because I wanted to load up on the bread. I got a strawberry rhubarb pop tart and it was delicious. The pop tart was more like a danish, but still different. I would highly recommend this place.

Stopped here on a whim headed to the airport. Just wow

Blueberry cheesecake danish was so fresh and flavorful.
Ham and Cheese croissant was savory and flakey.
Don’t drive by, stop in here asap.

I came here with a hankering for pain au chocolat, but sadly they only had plain and almond croissants. I settled for a lemon blueberry scone. It was okay, but the lemon could have been much stronger to make it better (I generously use grated lemon peel when I make scones).

Excellent ?? the croissant is to die for and so are the macarons. I love that they give free samples of items that were messed up. The coffee is just okay, though. A lovely stop for breakfast or snacks!

Ok... so this is truly Duluth's best bread. I love getting croissants in the morning when I'm traveling, and the butter croissant that I got at DBB did not disappoint. The freshest, best croissant I've had in a while. I also got a great cappuccino... the authentic, rich 6 oz kind. Love that they use Parable beans :) amazing coffee roasted by amazing people. Don't miss this place!!
