Nice place! Good selection of beer. Pretty crowded though.
We liked hoops, it has a good energy
Hoops, is our favorite brewery in Duluth. All their beer offerings are solid and well-crafted. Highly recommended.
Great beer, fun and welcoming atmosphere. One of our favorite tap rooms and breweries.
The beer is delicious and they indulged me in trying a black and tan using their raspberry wheat that I petition should be called a Raz-N-Tory. It is amazingly delicious.
I had both the Porter and the Hefeweizen and they were both excellent! I am a fan of German beers!
When I'm at Hoops, it feels the closest thing to home out of any brewery I've been to.(Across the country as well!) As a long time patron, I am always amazed by how unbelievably kind the staff is during each visit. The beer selection is great with such high quality. The staff and atmosphere really set this destination brewery apart from all the rest. Cheers Folks and Keep up the GOOD WORK!
Great bar tender, great alt music, perfect lighting and great vibes. The beer is great of course, and I recommend the One-Off Infusion if you're into coffee beer.
Hoops Brewing is very close to canal park and has a large taproom with a large variety of beers on tap. If you like German beer this would be a great place to checkout as there are many German style beers on tap. A 3% discount is applied if you pay in cash. Additionally the pints are imperial size (20oz) so you get an additional bang for your buck with their prices being similar to others charging the same for 16oz.
Great folks & beers

Was the best brewery we tried in Duluth. Located inside another building, so not really easy to find, but once inside, the atmosphere is great. Probably had the most options and styles available for beer that we had experienced in Duluth (we had just been to Ursa and Bent... Hoops was better). Easy to read boards, and easy to classify beers. Many options.
Good beer and cool atmosphere! My only complaint was the male beertender working around 7:00 on 7/10/2025. He was very indifferent and seemed annoyed we were there! We were sitting at the bar and were there for the first time. He walked by us a few times on a slow night. He ignored us and when he finally asked us if we wanted a drink he had a strange look like we were an inconvenience to him! It's a shame he had to ruining the great atmosphere!
Tried to go in on Wednesday night at 9:58. door was locked so I figured they close at 10. Checked the hours on the door, close at 11. Two people sitting at the bar, one person working behind the bar. Knocked on the door and the bartender looked over and motioned that they were closed. Begrudgingly went to Old Chicago instead. Fix your posted hours or keep the doors unlocked during business hours.
Cool space. Lots of unique beer styles.
The Raspberry beer was the best fruity beer I have ever had. Atmosphere was unbeatable! Definitely a MUST STOP in Duluth
