Very very yummy, good selection, very reasonably priced (especially when many places in Duluth are overpriced), kind workers. Would definitely visit again and recommend to others!!

Best doughnuts in Duluth area by far!!

I was in duluth for the week with my girlfriend for her BDay. I chose Johnsons and they did not disappoint. To start off my dumb ass send a request for a custom birthday cake with no directions. Luckily the gentleman working gave me a call and asked me what I wanted and helped me through the order. Great place 10 / 10 would recommend. The cake looked pretty and tasted amazing. I do have to say due to the lack of people eating the cake I consumed quite a bit. If type 2 diabetes is my only penance for the deliciousness I would of bought 2 cakes. Thanks everyone for helping me out.

Great bakery. I got the personal size strawberry pie. Which was more like strawberry shortcake but still was great.

I will be back to try some donuts.

I ordered a cake for my mother's birthday and had emailed them specifics that included a photo showing them what I wanted. I requested an off white buttercream, vanilla cake with raspberry filling, and writing in gold. I wrote in my email I wanted something elegant and classy for my mom. They emailed me back telling me they could make this cake no problem. With this review I have the photo I emailed them (my expectation), and a photo of what I got. When the day came to pick up the cake I went in and was given what looks like a baby shower cake. White buttercream, pink writing, cartoon roses: not what I ordered. I told the lady it wasn't what I ordered, and she apologized and offered to put more roses on it. She also told me they don't have metallic gold for writing, but an orange they could rewrite with. Other than several apologies, nothing was done to make this situation right and I ended up paying $65 for a cake that I could get from a box store. Even Walmart decorates their cakes better than this. Don't tell customers you can make something for them if you can't. 1 star for cake decorating and 2 stars for the flavor. It was a good flavored cake, just be wary of what you request there.

Probably one of the absolutely best cakes we have ever had!!! Had a slight issue ordering online as it was after closing, but chris got back to me right away the next morning and the cake was delicious!! My husband is not a sweets guy, let alone doesn’t prefer cakes… and said this was THE BEST CAKE HE HAS EVER HAD… it was so light and fluffy, icing was not too sweet and so so creamy, it was just delightful!! Will be ordering it a lot!!

Our family stopped in for donuts on our way out of town. I loved that it was local and not some cookie-cutter donut shop. I believe the owner himself helped us. There was a great variety of donuts, which were delicious. I even got a loaf of the cranberry bread as well!

I highly recommend checking them out.

They are the most friendly workers i have ever met. The donuts 🍩 they make are fresh every day. If you have never by by there you're missing out. I highly recommend stopping there. Thank you Johnsons bakery

Mom & Pop bakery shop! Their doughnuts are AH- Mazing! However, so are their cupcakes and holiday cookies! I can only assume that their bread is as well I haven't had the pleasure of trying it yet.
