Mama Roots

What I got was basically a vegan approach to a taco salad in a small container. It was delicious, in ways that surprised me in the best ways. It wasn't heavy, or greasy, it was hearty, and comforting. The staff was the best part, there was only one staff member but she was level headed, polite and professional. She took the order and made the food. It was worth the few minute wait. I recommend Mama Roots to anyone who remembers it's a filling in-between meal.

Very bad! Smoothie is too much watery and no flavor. I wasted my money at there.

We loved this place. Everything we had was super fresh and delicious. I had a special that was an onion veggie wrap and a broccoli/cashew soup and we also had the Korean crunch sandwich. Both were really good. Highly recommend. They are in the food court every day of the week and have a food truck in the summer months that travels around. Same creators of Juice Pharm!

I don't think I have to say a word on how much I love this place. (Anyone watching me gobble down my banana, peanut butter, cinnamon and agave toast in the food court would get the gist) 😃 Ha ha 😋 And the smoothies are the best! (I absolutely love the Java Kong) Thank you for having such an awesome restaurant with such healthy and awesome food made with such care, thought and preparation! You're the best!

They are not Temporarily Closed. They are open in the mall food court. The food was great and the staff was very friendly

Great menu that changes. My fav is the bahn mi. Everything is great fresh happy food. Service is great. It’s a food truck so follow them on Facebook to see where they will be. ***Update They now are also in the food court at the Miller hill Mall. Everything there is just as great as in the truck. 😃 Great food you won’t be disappointed. Prices are inline with great fresh vegan food. Updated from previous review on 2024-02-05

FINALLY! After almost two years of missing the food truck whenever we came to visit up north, I was able to eat at Mama Roots! And it was worth the wait!! They’ve got a cute little counter in the Miller Hill Mall food court, so it’s easily accessible with parking right outside the mall entrance to the food court around back. I arrived shortly after opening on a Sunday morning, and they were pretty steadily busy the entire time I was eating, which is great to see! And the food did not disappoint! I got the Korean Crunch with the Thai curry soup of the day. Wow - both were flavor bombs! I was a little skeptical about the gluten free bread, but it was great! The sandwich was super savory with the right hits of sweet, tangy, a little spice, and the promised crunch with carrot shreds and fresh spring mix. The soup - first of all piping hot, THANK YOU! And then thick, creamy, full of tender veggies that melt in your mouth. This is not a “hurry curry” - you can feel the love that goes into the food here. This soup simmered until all the flavors melded and got comfy. Sweet peppers, onions, garbanzos, potatoes, etc. in a rich coconut broth with a hint of lime. Lastly I got a coffee smoothie which again was really well-done. Coffee, dates, banana, cocoa… luscious and delicious. I HIGHLY recommend coming here, and can’t wait to try everything on the menu. I’ve heard new things are coming for the summer, too! Excellent, friendly service - this will be a regular stop for me.

Mama roots is the place to pop in. Such a cute little vibe! Had their tomato potato soup and wow was it tasty. Also had their blue Hawaiian smoothie! Friendly staff!

I love plant based food but this place is very underwhelming. Sandwich was about the size of my palm, the tempeh was cold and burnt for a whole $17. Would not go back.

I am so frickin thrilled to have a clean & healthy food option in the Hermantown area! They have such amazing vegan food that’s fast and delicious! Their staff is also so friendly and inviting! I 100000% recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Finally a place in the mall that has gluten free and dairy free food! Ordered a Blu Bali Bowl and Tuscan Ricotta Sandwich. Both were very good! Mama Roots now with new menu. Definitely feel good food!
