This was really the best meal we’ve had for a long time! The Szechuan Shrimp and Pork Belly Confit will be in our dreams forever. The Sea Bass and Prime Rib Roll were both absolutely delicious! The Potato Pave cooked in duck fat were the best potatoes I’ve ever had in my life. We unknowingly stumbled upon 1/2 price Wine Wednesday. Yay for us! The bottles that were recommended by Hunter were great! If you want a casual meal or celebratory meal, this is a must. Understated elegance. Thank you!

A beautiful drive up the shore from Duluth, a great spot just off the lake, lake/woods inspired decor, delicious menu with an array of entrées, nice wine and drink list, topped off with outstanding service. We will be back to sample more from the menu.

We were there on a saturday in late october. We had our dog with us so we’re planning to get food to go and eat it around their fire pit they have outside. They went above and beyond and sat us at a table out of the way where our dog could lay under the table.
the view is obviously spectacular and the vibe is immaculate. very Scandinavian chic!
we got lamb lollipops, a steak skewer, grilled bread, and chocolate cake. The steak was a tad underdone for my preference but my partner enjoyed it.
we are glad we came but will likely not be back. the food was good but a little spendy for our speed, especially considering we are not foodies.

The atmosphere was exactly what you love to see while on the Northshore, rustic feel with local art displayed and a touch if nature. They weren't lying about the view. Make a reservation and ask for a window seat.
Alice was our server and she made us feel right at home and answered all our questions.

We used to come here once a year for a special occasion and always joked about needing to go to Taco Bell right after a $140 meal for how small of a portion you get. But at least the dishes delivered. These days all they have going for them is a beautiful space. The food is… bad. Cold, unseasoned, unsalted, with pretentious menu descriptions. Unfortunately, we don’t see any reason to go back.
Amazing overall restaurant. Great aesthetic and environment. Looks better from the outside than most restaurants I have seen.
Food was well presented and delicious. Lots of flavor and fresh ingredients.

Of those places one thinks to oneself of, in thy way of sharing a light of beacon, that this may have just added a hint of joy to that long and treacherous road which is life — the New Scenic Café is one of those. Glorious food, impeccable ambiance, and phew what a view. Every time I am back in the states I come here to enjoy a fine meal shared with dear ones. Blessed now and blessed it shall remained.
