Loved the dinner experience, food quality and the atmosphere! My fav was roasted beets salad and three berries pie ✨
The food was good, but a little spendy. As for the service, the waiter that we had never came back to our table to ask how everything was or if we needed more water or coffee. As he went past our table I asked for more coffee. He filled my cup and didn't ask my daughter if she would like some also. He started to walk away and and I told him, she would also like more coffee.
It was a little noisy at times
Food was good. Service was good. The view of the lake is pretty amazing. Easy to spend a small fortune here if you're hungry.
Weirdly they wouldn't serve me an NA beer because I didn't have the papers with my license 🤷♂️.
One of the best meals I have had in quite some time and I didn't expect to find it outside of Duluth. They have an excellent wine list as well.
Best croissant ever. Never had one with so many perfect layers, and it was delicious!
I can’t tell you how disappointed I am that they got rid of their pastry case dessert. We would make a special trip to buy them for parties and well, mostly just because they were so great. What a loss.
Updated review, still amazing. Reservation recommended.

If I am going to spend my money, I want to spend it at places with people who truly care about the food. The Scenic does it every time! This roasted red pepper soup and lobster éclairs were done to perfection. It was also relaxing to be there post-tourist season! I'll be back soon!

Waitstaff was amazing and food was great!!
Major shoutout to our waiter: we were there on the 5th around 4pm with a tall gentleman with tattoos. He did a phenomenal job! We decided to try something new and get a burger *just in case*… he must of overheard us and came over with the burger split up for us. It’s small things like that, that set this place apart!

The pastries, view and kind (but overworked) staff are acceptable here. Unfortunately for all else this place presents itself as something it’s not. The quality of the food is disappointing, the chefs are working hard but are not trained for the type of food they are serving. The menu is deceiving as you think you will get a high quality meal from prices and then you end up getting food that has sat out with low grade ingredients.

Great location and atmosphere! The food however was mediocre and very overpriced in my opinion. Lobster “roll” sandwich on some dry old bun was not good and $30! Other items turned out to be sandwiches as well for the price of real entrees. And, automatic adding of tip is very irritating when food is already overpriced. Easy to double pay tip that way and really get a bad deal. I think I stick to pastries and coffee if I go back again. No more $30 mediocre sandwiches I think. Great location is only reason to go however. Definitely not the food quality.
