This place is kind of a secret diner which has a neighborhood bar attached. Only locals in the know might realize what this place is, which is a shame because they make great food. There's a breakfast item people might overlook that is fantastic: the Kielbasa Bowl. Among the basic ma and pa diner fare, as well. I used to get eggs and toast, which is also good, but am glad I tried a Kielbasa Bowl! Several friends have enjoyed it, as well. Their Italian food is great, though it's been awhile since I've been here for anything but breakfast. Plenty of food for the cost, wait staff always cheerful, in my experience.

Love the Tappa Keg Inn!! I love the old time charm, friendly (and fast!) staff, and the food!! My favorites are the pork chop special on Tuesdays and the hot beef sandwich. The number one favorite is the Friday night prime rib. Tender and flavorful!!

We took our two young children here for lunch and we were extremely impressed with how much food we got for such a decent price. Our waitress was great and our food was as well. Their menu is huge! Definitely will be back.

Old school bar and restaurant. Honestly, the food is so reasonably priced there are no complaints. The specials are always good, portions are clean your plate and leave satisfied size. Box mashed potatoes aside, I will continue to enjoy the food here!

Good homemade tasting food & if you're going to the Lake Superior zoo it's right next to it. Very convenient. Parking is great, which is definitely hard to find depending on where you go in Duluth.

Dive bar vibe but food was great. Only docked atmosphere as no A/C.

Not many places like this left, fair prices and great food in a truly family friendly place. Hit this place up for breakfast and you won't be disappointed.

No smelt fry this year again. Guess I will have to look somewhere else. Very disappointed. They have other things on the menu but it's kinda limited.

Haven't not been here in a long time, so I wanted to try it again. But after last night's to go order, I would not recommend this to anyone. It was awful food. We ate it only because we were hungry and I was already home. It's my fault for not checking the to-go boxes before I left. I had been a line cook and sous chef and various restaurants in this area, and I would have never served the food this cook served. Ordered the chicken tender basket and the fish basket and an order of onion rings, and the only thing that wa decent was the onion rings, but they were not overcooked and were super cold. The tenders were super small and dried out and hard. French Fries were barely cooked soggy. The fish for the fish basket was overcooked and burnt and tasteless. I can not believe that the cook would cook any of this food like they did! photos will be in the comments
