Hands down one of the best coffee shops in Duluth. Staff and owners and friendly and welcoming. Coffee is amazing, and they also have a wide variety of baked goods and creative food items. I always get a white chocolate pistachio latte and it’s the best coffee you can get in the northland, pair that with a cranberry jalapeño chicken croissant and I’m in heaven. Beautiful community space they have created here. 10/10

My third time here. I am not a game playing person but I love the coffee and like the food that I've tasted. Very welcoming of everyone that visits. No real world politics allowed, no evil characters allowed and no swearing alllowed. It makes for a pleasant visit for everyone.
One of my favorite spots to hang out with my friends now, the Loch has excellent atmosphere. Blending the coziness of a café, with the energy of Tabletop gaming, the Loch is the perfect space to relax with friends and play games.
There are a handful of tables available downstairs for quiet work, study, or gaming, and a large upstairs full of tables (chair and bench seating available) for larger groups who may need more space.

The atmosphere and drinks are incredible, but the staff is also super friendly and helpful! I especially love the assortment of various goodies and treats available. You can just tell their team puts a ton of effort into their space, products, and events. Such a cool spot! Bonus points for their involvement in the local Excalibur Con, which we learned about through their many announcements - we attended and had an amazing time there too 🙌
We stopped by on our way out of town… what a lovely hidden gem! The owner was so friendly and the shop itself was so cool! Highly recommend the maple syrup latte! Yum!

The place was absolutely perfect, just enough cards and nerd items to keep you occupied while you wait for your order and the place was welcoming and cozy. Absolutely could see myself going there on a more frequent basis.

I’ve been here a few times, and I love the concept. The coffee is good, but no vegan sweets or breakfast items. I think there’s a hummus sandwich on the menu but I’ve never been there at lunch time. Service has been awkward - the coffee menu is limited, so I asked what flavors of syrup they have. The barista said it would be easier (for him?) if I just told him what I wanted and he’d tell me if he could make it. So, not being very creative or inspired, I just got a vanilla oat milk latte. We were the only customers, and we sat at a table in the window. He called us up to the counter to pick up our order, rather than bothering to bring it to the table. A few minutes later, another customer came in and they chatted loudly for about 30 minutes. The owners (?) came in and got themselves something to eat and then left. No one bothered checking in with us, making eye contact, or saying a word. So we finished our order and left… other visits have also been underwhelming, so we probably won’t be returning. Too bad, it seemed like a nice place, but not somewhere I feel comfortable hanging out regularly.
