Great food and service but it just wasn’t it. I made a reservation for my wife and I and they sat us in a small table arms length from two different groups. Why do you need tables so close together?!? I understand trying to max out capacity but it honestly ruined the experience

Great food and drinks, our server Natalie was wonderful and I loved the chicken Marsala that she recommended

Food was delicious! The vibe of the restaurant is so nice and homey. I went there with my husband to celebrate our one year anniversary and the staff was very kind and attentive to our needs.

We also got alcohol free champagne and it was so good !

The only thing was that our reserved table was a big crowded but not too much. I was still able to enjoy my time there with my husband!

We were seated in what felt more like an entryway than a dining area, and things only went downhill from there. My meal arrived nearly ten minutes after everyone else's, with no apology—just a rude response when my mother-in-law politely asked about the delay. By the time my food came, the rest of the table was nearly finished eating.

Flavor was missing across the board. One guest had to heavily salt their pasta just to make it edible. Another never received part of their order. As for my ravioli—it was undercooked, the sauce tasted burnt and acidic, and within minutes, I had heartburn. Bread might’ve helped balance things out, but although the server asked if we wanted some, it never arrived.

To top it off, my husband was served a drink he hadn’t ordered—completely different from his original request and he hadn't asked for a second anyway.

And when I brought my leftover ravioli home? Even the dog wouldn’t touch it.

Later, when I shared the experience with someone close to me, they described a nearly identical visit and said they wouldn’t return. I won’t either.

Valentini’s is fantastic - we had a super lunch and met the owner - Carol - what a wonderful person! No wonder this place is so good - we also met one of the relatives that is a manager so this is truly a family run place. The food was fantastic - the Italian Egg Rolls were fantastic as was Penne aka Vodka and the Tortellini ala Valentini. Go Eat! You’ll thank me!

this is a great place to go for dinner with a “fancy” atmosphere. food is reasonably priced and delicious love their pizzas! but please bring back the diablo chicken sandwich (the worlds mildest spicy chicken sandwich but delicious nonetheless)

Really excellent Italian food. Authentic, delicious. Gnocchi, penne alla vodka, and salmon were fine choices. Able to manage lactose intolerance. Decent beverage choices. We had very attentive service on a busy night, and everything was ready quickly. Delightful meal. Reservations were required for Grandma's Marathon weekend.

We were driving through town heading to Duluth and we are so glad we did. This was the best first stop we could have chosen. The food was 10/10 amazing and homemade. We even got to chat with owner Carol who was so friendly and a doll, made our experience outstanding. The staff were so friendly. We will be back. We had the stroganoff and the ravioli. To die for. And fun yummy desserts! 🤍

My husband and I went for lunch for his birthday at about 1:30, we stood at the doorway waiting to be seated for 5 minutes before we were noticed. There was a gal cleaning the other dining area and she ignored us! We were about to leave when a waitress finally seated us. There were only 8 other people in the restaurant , other than a private dining area. Our waitress didn’t offer a beverage, I had to ask for water…. Our food was good, just the experience wasn’t. It is evidently more important to clean the floor, yes a gal was mopping the floor as we were eating. Now wouldn’t you think this could have waited til we were gone, there must be a time when people could be seated in a clean area and this cleaning could be done then. I felt very unwelcome, and this was not a pleasant dining experience
