Love this place! The food was wonderful. We started off with the Tempura Fried Cauliflower. I loved the aioli sauce, and the whole dish was very tasty. We both ordered the Coconut Curry Rice Bowl with Chicken and it was sublime. I practically licked the bowl it was so good! We ordered a bottle of cabernet, which was decent but not great. Of course, after the first glass, it tasted just fine. :) For dessert we shared a very dense and very delicious piece of chocolate cake with whipped cream. So good! Definitely a place to come back to!Vegetarian options: Probably 75% of the menu appeared to be vegetarian or vegan. But everything we tried was delicious.Dietary restrictions: There were a lot of vegetarian and vegan options, also dishes that were gluten free.Parking: It's in downtown Duluth so parking can be iffy depending on when you go.

The food and the server were amazing. I have never had a steak entree this phenomenal! The gal with the fishing lure earrings (I don’t know her name) was professional and so sweet.. Thanks for everything! Love it here, regardless of who I am with ;)

I have Celiac's and we went here for dinner. All of our food was amazing and I was very happy with so many GF choices, including the house soups. Highly recommend.

Decided to eat here before a comedy show at the zeitgeist theater and had some mixed feelings. The Good: -Ambiance: The restaurant feels modern and the venue itself is a fun maze to explore. Great for a date night! -Events: They have a variety of fun events here that are worth checking out! -Root cellar cocktail: This was my favorite cocktail that I tried in Duluth. Fruity/earthy upfront with cardamom and rosemary in the back. Really fun drink! -Service: Service was courteous, attentive, and pleasant. The Bad: -Prices were extremely high considering the presentation, quality/flavor, and portion size of the food. If you're made of money and don't really care about spending $76 on dinner then maybe ignore this comment. But if value really matters to you, this is not the place to go. -Vegan scallops. The scallops were good and I liked the edamame puree but I didn't think the flavor or portion size was impressive enough to warrant $15. People have been raving about this item. Maybe it would be impressive for those brand new to vegan food and plant forward eating, but it wasn't that impressive to me. -Curry bowl with tofu. We received 5 pieces of tofu... for an extra $5. The presentation and quantity of rice and vegetables given was lacking considering this entree was a whopping $22. The flavor was good but nothing I haven't had before. Overall, I'd say to go to Zeitgeist for the events and drinks but skip the food. I think there's better value food in town.

The scallops were delicious and the rest of the food was decent. They had a long wait for over an hour for our food and my food was cold... I didn't want to wait another hour for my entree, so I ate my food. I imagine we must have came on an understaffed night, as I had heard many good things about this restaurant from others.

What a delightful experience. Dinner before seeing a show at the Duluth Playhouse/NorShor Theater. Very upbeat vibe, great cocktails, and a small but amazing menu. Very unique entree preparations that were fresh and tasty. The Vegan Scallops were the most surprising and a must try if you love scallops and/or mushrooms! Highly recommend this establishment.

Great place. Delicious and beautifully crafted food with interesting flavours and textures. Very nice atmosphere too. Our server was really polite and helpful. The only piece of improvement feedback is that at times we felt rushed - e.g. we were asked about dessert while still half way through our main dish (the place was mostly empty at the time). But overall a lovely experience - highly recommend.

They aren't afraid of playing with flavors here! Certainly some interesting pops.

Horrible service last night. Our waiter couldn't even remember to bring ketchup with our truffle fries. We had to get up and ask for it and he acted like it was the first time we asked him. Long wait times for him to do anything and he was very absent in attending to our needs. Food was meh. Chicken pasta with basalmic wax line bad wedding food. Waiter failed to ask a temp preference on our flat iron steak and both orders of it were served cold. Many better places to eat.
