Zen House has the highest-quality Japanese food I've had this side of the Pacific. We don't realize how lucky we are to have this restaurant in our community. 20 years I've been enjoying their food -- I hope I've helped put someone through college or somethin'. 😆

Absolutely love the food. We eat in and get to-go often. Ramen to sushi to appetizers we love it all. Very generous with fish portion and some of the best miso in town. Was very disappointed tonight though (Thursday). I know they close at 8, so I called at 730 to order food to-go. No answer, tried twice. So I decided to drive the two blocks because I figured they might be busy. Got there at 7:38 and the door was locked. Sign on the door says last order is at 7:45 - kinda hard...read full review

Zen House is a hidden gem with delicious food and outstanding service. The sushi is excellent with very generous fish portions and there are plenty of options on the menu, including vegetarian choices. It's kid-friendly with a variety of Asian dishes. Customers highly recommend trying the ramen noodles and pork egg rolls, and some of the best miso in town. The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond to provide a great dining experience. There is some parking in the back. The chicken Katsu donburi tastes just like eating in Japan, with fresh and very tasty ingredients. The takoyaki balls are super hot and crispy. The restaurant is a cozy, character-filled spot that offers a mix of sushi and ramen, with prices that reflect the quality but are worth every penny. Many say it’s better than high-priced places in the Twin Cities and Chicago, with consistently excellent food and service. The atmosphere is comfortable and casual, making it a perfect place for both regulars and first-time visitors to enjoy high-quality Japanese and Asian cuisine.
