This is a wonderful bakery open on weekends. I especially love their Danish pastries and croissants. Besides this bakery they also sell baked goods in Northfield at the downtown market on some Saturday mornings. I've been told by some that the pastries remind them of pastries that they have had in France, rich and buttery. They also have savory items including sandwiches and soups. I like their coffee. The service is very friendly and helpful. The last time that I went there it was close to closing time, but they were fine with that and they told me to take my time.

BEFORE READING: BRING CASH OR CHECK. THEY DO NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS - that’s why their prices are low.
This is one of the greatest little pastry shops ever. Super cozy atmosphere and they make one of the meanest ham and cheese croissants I’ve ever eaten in my life. The most that you will end up paying is $10 before you are full. They also have very good quiches and cranberry scones. Soups, salads, and desserts are also available.

Best ham sandwich! Along with everything else!
THE HERBED EGG SALAD SANDWICH!!!! The atmosphere is charming, the baked goods are SO delicious, but that sandwich will be something I will remember for a long long time.

Martha's is an absolute incredible place to eat.
We tried it for the first time last week, and we'll be back many times over. Unbelievable place. 5***** plus.
A friend and I walked from Northfield to Dundas for a beer at Chapel and decided to stop in to see if Martha's was still open. We arrived after they had already closed, but they were inside cleaning up, and my friend knows Martha so we went inside to introduce me. She was very kind and welcoming and offered me a couple of pastries which were delicious.
OMG.
Best pastries/bread/croissants in the WORLD.
Egg salad sandwich was great. Lettuce fresh, bread was awesome. Chewy, great crust.
The special desert was pumpkin cheesecake. Yum!

Some of the best pastries I've ever had. Whether at their own storefront, the river walk, or Little Joy Coffee, you should not pass up a chance to to try one of these sweet treats. Their maple raisin scone is a must try!
