This is a wonderful bakery open on weekends. I especially love their Danish pastries and croissants. Besides this bakery they also sell baked goods in Northfield at the downtown market on some Saturday mornings. I've been told by some that the pastries remind them of pastries that they have had in France, rich and buttery. They also have savory items including sandwiches and soups. I like their coffee. The service is very friendly and helpful. The last time that I went there...
BEFORE READING: BRING CASH OR CHECK. THEY DO NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS - that’s why their prices are low.

This is one of the greatest little pastry shops ever. Super cozy atmosphere and they make one of the meanest ham and cheese croissants I’ve ever eaten in my life. The most that you will end up paying is $10 before you are full. They also have very good quiches and cranberry scones. Soups, salads, and desserts are also available.
A friend and I walked from Northfield to Dundas for a beer at Chapel and decided to stop in to see if Martha's was still open. We arrived after they had already closed, but they were inside cleaning up, and my friend knows Martha so we went inside to introduce me. She was very kind and welcoming and offered me a couple of pastries which were delicious.
