Get the Blendini or Blender. Italian ice blended with their custard is hands down magical! This location is typical closed during the winter months, so you should double check their availability if you plan to go close to that season.

Whenever I head over to Oryza Poke & Ramen for my ramen fix, I see Rita's Italian Ice steps away. It's normally closed. When I was in the Twin Cities last month, I got my ramen fix on my final full day there. Afterwards, I felt like dessert. This place was open. Woo hoo!I walked into the store. A woman promptly greeted me. She was warm and welcoming. She gave me a sample of strawberry custard. Her husband was in the back, handcrafting all custards and ices. The custard wasn't overly sweet and was creamy.I asked if I could do a combination of ice and custard. Yes!I got a large watermelon and blue raspberry ice, with a scoop of strawberry custard on top. She went ahead and put my order together pretty quickly.I paid with a credit card. All was well. She invited me to sit down. I found a table, sat down, and went at my frozen dessert. It was excellent.I am typically an ice person. The watermelon and blue raspberry flavours were yummy. They were so refreshing on a hot, summery day. They were slightly sweet, but the flavours were on point.I had to have more of the strawberry custard. I could have this custard for days. It was delicious. You could taste the real strawberries in it. It was crafted with a lot of care.I wasn't expecting to be so warmly welcomed. I chatted with the woman as if we had known each other for years.Perhaps she doesn't see too many Chinese folks in Eagan. She and her husband were originally from Pakistan. They immigrated to Los Angeles. They decided to start this Rita's franchise in Eagan. It's quite the climate shift. They split their time between LA and Eagan. It explains why I have never seen this store open when I'm in town for Minnesota Wild games. This store is closed from late October to May. I normally fly in for games between late September and May, depending on whether the Wild make the playoffs.I got to meet her husband and we had a nice chat. They are such a friendly, nice couple. There are a handful of tables and seats in this store to sit down and enjoy your frozen treats. I felt relaxed and happy. Maybe it was the sugar slowly kicking in, along with meeting this couple. This store is located in a plaza. I have never found any issues parking.I need to revisit this store. My window of opportunity is now till late October. I look forward to having more frozen desserts.(362)

The pictures look great but what my husband ordered (like a blizzard) she just scooped on top and drizzled peanut butter in the middle and never blended. Maybe that's just how they do it there. I wouldnt spend that amount again for what they had there. I would spend less and get the real deal.

Rita’s is a treasure to the communitycoming from the far side of Saint Paul to enjoy this perfect dessert I found the owner is a absolute delight and very welcoming to all over her customersThe Lemon Italian Ice is simple and flavorful proving that not everything has to be complicated to be wonderful.Come here if you get that chance as they do close up in October

The lady that worked there this morning was extremely rude to me and my husband. Just because we are from India (so is she) we don’t need to be treated like we are dumb. We can tell the difference between ice cream, custard and sorbet thank you very much. Absolutely disgusting attitude.

I do want to leave an updated review, I did initially leave a review that wasn’t so nice but I went back again today because I can’t stay away from Rita’s and it was a great experience , the woman who service me was lovely and the ice cream was good as always. I would 10/10 recommend. Sorry again that we got off on the wrong foot. Much love !

This was my first visit and my last. Poor customer service. Made me and my family feel like we were dumb and not welcome. It cost almost 7 dollars for a small cone of frozen custard. Pricey and not worth it.

My family and I are absolutely in love with Rita's! The staff is incredibly friendly and the custard and ice they serve are simply amazing! We can't get enough of the delightful treats they offer. It's always a pleasure to visit Rita's and indulge in their scrumptious offerings. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dessert experience.

I'm obsessed w/ the lemon flavored Italian Ice! No added dyes & real lemon pieces included. Very refreshing!
