I've been a customer of the Eagan location for more than 30 years driving all the way from far west Bloomington because the pizza was so good. I always order thin crust pizza. The sauce has always been the best around. I hadn't been there since May 2025. This time (October 2025) the sauce seemed like plain Hunts Tomato Sauce -- no seasonings whatever -- and the cheese and toppings tasted bland. Unsure of why, when i got home and researched -- discovered the business was sold May 2025. It''s not the same anymore. Don't think I'll ever go back. EDIT: As a long time customer, I decided to go back to give them another chance. I was happily surprised my pizza was made to the original recipe. Whether the visit prompting my negative review was an unfortunate lapse, or some negative reviews sent them back to the traditional recipe, I'll now not give up on them. I've changed my 1-star review to a 4-star review.

We've been eating here for more than 30 years now and it's our favorite pizza restaurant. They've had ownership and staff changes in recent years, but the food quality has never wavered. We supported them with take out orders during COVID because we didn't want them to close, but they were always busy on the few days that they were open during that time, so that was nice. Highly recommend the Italian Pie Shoppe!

We've been coming here for over 15 years, but not as often as we used to. We've heard that ownership had changed hands and thought we'd see if anything was different. I've always enjoyed their pizza, but the sauce would have an after taste I didn't care for. We went in and pretty much everything was as it always was. We were seated right away and the waitress was very friendly. We ordered 2 pizzas and we were all pleasantly surprised that the sauce no longer had the odd after taste. Even the kids enjoyed it and they can be pretty picky. The only thing that would've been better would be a little more sauce. So if you're a sauce lover, make sure to order extra sauce here.

We asked for an extra thin cheese and double sausage pizza. What we got was an extra doughy crust that was difficult to even cut with a knife. Half of the pizza was missing cheese. You took close to 30 minutes to get the pizza even though the waitress said she thought we were in a hurry. During our dining experience, we did express the two waitresses that the pizza was not what we ordered as far as extra thin crust they didn’t seem too impressed. I’ve gone to this restaurant for 40 years through different ownerships and have been very satisfied with our experiences there. Two weeks ago when we were there, we talked to the new manager and he seemed very nice and we got great pizza. I’m not sure what happened this time but we don’t plan on returning.
Stopped in for lunch and the pizza is absolutely fantastic! Shout-out to Aaron for personable, attentive service. He was telling me about how they are under new ownership and things are really headed in the right direction. If you have never been here or haven't visited in a while, I fully recommend this shop!

I was on vacation in Eagan and decided to give The Italian Pie Shoppe a try. I ordered a meat lovers deep dish pie. It was very good, but the service was excellent and I really liked reading the old newspaper on the table tops and seeing all the photos of actors from the 30's.
