I just found Bernie's when searching for something to have delivered to my kid who lives far from us. I sent an email and they replied quickly and then I called when they were open, there's a time zone difference. They took my order and delivered baked goodies to my kid's work. I highly recommend them. If you're in or around Grand Forks check them out. They went above and beyond and helped me celebrate my kid even though we are many states apart.
The service is just bad, my mom ordered a side of tots that never arrived and we never got water for the table. I asked another person at the coffee stand for water.

Came in at 10:30am on a Sunday to buy cookies. I waited for someone to assist us. Eventually someone came over but they were on the phone and just like that, they sold all the cookies to the person on the phone, removing the trays of cookies. Im from out of town. I purposely came early so I could get some cookies before they ran out. These were mostly full trays. It felt very disrespectful. I won't be returning.
The Hot ham and cheese sandwich!! I wish I could make the bread at home! So good!!
The bakery items are top notch, sitting at the patio is nice. But if you’re going to charge $13 for a cheese ball, perhaps serve it with something more sturdy than Ritz crackers which disenegrate easily. Also, for an $18 burger, I’d expect a place like this to have house made potato chips with flavor, rather than plain Lays ruffles.

I've loved everything I've gotten.
I've eaten here a couple times while in town. Food is always great. A little pricier, but worth it in my opinion. The service is typically okay, but we were disappointed this Sunday after going out for brunch. The server only came to take our order, drop off drinks, then brought the check (after the host hunted him down.) The host was helpful in getting us boxes.

This place has amazing food, but their service is some of the worst we’ve ever experienced. Super slow, appetizers arrived after main courses, condiments for the main courses arrived after we finished eating, one was missing a beverage, etc. Even when we made the manager aware, she acted very offended as though we were being difficult. Attn: Manager - When a customer takes the time to speak up and express concerns, they are typically sharing to help to protect your business and to hopefully have whatever it is being reported not continue. You should thank customers for sharing vs stir up your nose and act like the information is unwanted and impacting your day. Not only did the manager stir up her nose, but she then decided to gossip about us expressing our concerns to enough people that we found out from local friends that the manager publicly bashed us for speaking up about our poor experience rather than appreciating the feedback and sharing it with the owners and team of servers to improve. This was our third time dining at Bernie’s. Our food was amazing each time and our service was terrible each time. This was our first time complaining. Clearly, the manager isn’t open to growing, improving or even handling feedback maturely.
You cannot go there in a rush. The service, no matter when I go, is very very slow. Even just waiting at the pastry counter. Will I return? Always. Because the food is worth it. But the staff really take their sweet time.

🧍♀️ 30 mins for a sandwich they weren’t that busy. No prices on the board when you walk in, overpriced with a hair in it. My dog didn’t even it.
The seating hostess didn't seem to know what to do. She put our name on a waiting list even though there was about 10 empty tables. Then she sat people who came after us and when we ask she had the nerve to tell us she forget we were there even though we were right in front of her. Very frustrating!

Always hope to run into Molly. We had our 4 yr old twin grandsons that know Nana is watching Girl Meets Farm faithfully. Bakery was almost empty, kinda sad. Service and food were good. Reuben, Bernie's wonder sub.

Retro decor and delicious food! Worth the drive if you're in the area. We came because of Molly Yeh and her t.v. show, but would return for the food!!
