The "Zep" grinder/sub is really good. The bread they use is very fresh and perfect for a sandwich. Crust is just tough enough to not fall apart under the weight of all the filling but the interior is soft and delicious. We got it with all their sauces and I was not disappointed. The deli meat (especially the ham) was a really good quality, decent flavor, good texture.Potato skins w/ cheese and taco meat were what you'd expect, no glorious revelation but taste good and better with sour cream.Their fried items were not over or under done and appeared to be made in new/clean oil.Price was affordable (compared to fast food it was down right cheap) and the location was VERY clean. Staff was friendly.Tacos were the only thing that wasn't particularly notable.Swung by once or twice and they were closed when I thought they'd be open but besides that they're definitely worth a visit. Or two; or three if you live less than a mile away.

Parking: Lots of space.

Kid-friendliness: Family friendly for sure. Our little one is a big fan.

Honestly so disappointed. We moved away from EGF, but came back to the area to see family. I insisted we go to EGF Red Pepper because the buns make the grinders so much better. Look up hours to make sure they are open Mondays, tried calling 2x but no answer; their FB says they have Zep Special on Mondays so I'm thinking it must just be busy. Nope. Closed. No business hours posted on the door, nothing posted on their Facebook page. Just not open at 2pm on a regular Monday 9/18/23.Since we live out of the area now and I'm craving a grinder....we are back tracking to the original location.I used to love red pepper east. But I think from now on I'll just head to the Original Red Pepper on University.

Went for chips and salsa and when I got home, discovered I had a bag of concession stand chips and the worst salsa I’ve ever had. I don’t know what happened to this Red Pepper, but it’s absolutely awful.

Regular food at regular prices.. Was told about this place, and it wasn't bad.. just seemed the hype was bigger than the product.

The Best Tacos in the area

Very disappointed in tonight’s meal. Went to get potato skins with cheese and they didn’t have any and don’t know if they will ever get them again. Ordered a whole turkey and salami taco meat and Colby cheese grinder. They changed the salami and it was horrible. The white sauce has been changed as well and it didn’t even come close to what it used to taste like. This is the first time I’ve been there since Covid started and I used to go there at least once a week. I never post reviews but since I used to enjoy eating here I felt like I should let them know my disappointment!!.

Maybe go ahead and update the hours of business so people don’t drive out of their way to get food for nothing…..
