I love Carbones! I worked at a different location back in high school. This location is great! The pizza is delicious. You can’t go wrong with pizza fries or a hoagie. Always great service whether I go in to pick up or get it delivered.

I ordered one large pizza with half cheese and half green olive. I ordered it thin crust and asked for it to be well done so that it was crispy. I also ordered a small pizza also thin crust also well done. I received a large pizza that was not well done, half had cheese, but no sauce and the other half had olives, but no cheese. It’s was also completed smooched. The small pizza was original crust, not thin and also not crispy (but thankfully it has sauce and cheese at least!)
I called immediately to let the staff now and see if they could fix it, but they told me that no one was around and nothing could be done that night and a manager would call me back by 8 PM or the following morning. After two days with not hearing from anybody, I called and asked for a manager at an earlier time hoping to catch someone before they got busy. I talked to someone named Brian who said that he was not a manager and that there was not a manager available. He apologize for the experience, but offered to do nothing to fix it. He promised that a manager would call and when I asked when to expect a call back, he said he couldn’t answer. Evidently the manager’s name is Bill and no one knows when he will come in to help with things like this.
It seems no one is really in charge there to provide oversight or fix situations like this. I wouldn’t feel comfortable ordering from them again given this experience. This is unfortunate because in the past I have had excellent food from Carbone’s at other locations, but this location seems to be under poor management or no management at all.
I ended up making a second, very late meal for my family and assume I will not get a refund or a call back at all at this point.

We are die hard Carbones fans - originally the St Paul location for years. Then over to WSP. Same great pizza. Ordered from the Edina location as well wanted to introduce this legendary pizza to our kids who just moved into the cities. Received the delivery order (after calling to check) and tasted the pizza. This was not the Carbones recipe. Wow, my husband and I were like, are you sure you ordered Carbones. They did! It’s not the same recipe. Please go to the other two locations and compare what you are making vs the amazing pizza at theirs. You are doing a disservice serving what you are serving.

I purchased the hoagie when I was on a trip to Minneapolis and I’ve still be thinking about it since I got back home! The cashier was incredibly friendly and helpful giving me menu recommendations. Will be visiting here again when I’m back in town

Our family has always LOVED Carbonnes ! First introduced way back in Mac/Grov area while in St. Paul. Delighted then when you moved into the 50th & France local’. Love the thin crust. Love the ability to pick and choose our favorite pizza combo and most definitely have always been graced with the best drivers ever. Placed an order last weekend while family was here visiting - football games abundant and a busy time of the afternoon. Yup - arrived on time as indicated; fresh and hot; great driver with a sincere personality. We all couldn’t wait to ‘get started’ !! “Thank you for your service” !!!
