“I’m super fond of this gem of a brewery in Edina because it has a great, chill vibe for gathering with friends. Plenty of parking (behind the brewery), big indoor space with different types of seating arrangements of smaller tables or long tables for spreading out (more communal feel). There’s no shortage of natural light (bring those sunglasses because the sun can be super bright!) and big screen tvs for those that want to catch a game. It’s easy to spend a few hours hanging out, playing board games and enjoying the food and beverages here.”
“Overall, very good experience. The food was good, environment was clean, but very loud with everyone in there. Made it difficult to have a conversation with others at the table.”
“In the past, I’ve had great experiences here. I’ve brought several friends for their first visits. Food and drinks are great, always; tonight was no exception. Tonight, however, we had such negative experiences with staff. Our table wasn’t ready as reserved. It happens, usually no big deal, but they told us it would be just a minute and they’d let us know. it was 15 before I went back to the host table to ask about it and no one seemed to know what I was talking about. At the time three people were behind the host desk and I had walked by three servers chatting on my way in). Because of this, we lost one of the people who was going to join us. Another member of our party had to get to work (the reason we had reserved a time) and by the time our table was ready, he didn’t have time to order an entree. To be fair, we did have two people who were supposed to join us not show up and I understand that’s frustrating, but we were the ones who DID show up and had (or tried to have) an app, entres and multiple drinks. Besides the app coming late (with the entree, even though I asked a second time about it before ordering the entree), one of the entrees we ordered was wrong, but we had given up on anyone caring by that time. It felt like we were an inconvenience to the hosts and our server. I think he actually may have rolled his eyes more than once. I felt like I was somewhere that needed table turnover or at a dive bar where polite service isn’t really an expectation, but there were open tables near us and we didn’t complain about our late table or app. And we communicated about our absent party members as best we could once we knew. Usually, we tip really well because we’ve worked food service and understand it’s hard work and stuff happens. We understand EVERYONE is short-staffed right now, but we are still paying for a babysitter and nights out are precious, even when expected friends have things come up or don’t have time to wait for a table. If I want someone to roll their eyes at me, I’ll stay home with my teen and do it for free, thanks. Sincerely, it doesn’t take much to satisfy us (a couple weeks ago we tried Colita for the first time and our table was over an hour late, but the staff were polite and did their best to make our experience pleasant and I didn’t feel like I was a burden despite the extremely busy restaurant) but tonight after waiting, then a couple attempts to flag down the server so we could get home to relieve the babysitter, my husband finally had to go look for the server for a box (for the wrong entree that we didn’t finish) and the check. I know staffing is short right now and customers can be super-rude, but we aren’t rude and this was too much. No matter how good the blueberry smash and location on the lake are, I don’t think I’ll be back, and definitely not with friends. And I don’t think the two people who joined us as first-time guests will be back either - they were already skeptical about leaving the cities but I said it was worth it. Not tonight, it wasn’t.”
“The interior is gorgeous and very instagramable. The food on the other hand was not quite as impressive. Our servers were amazing and definitely earn their tips! Would I return? Probably not... the food is expensive for no reason and is basic in flavor. Perhaps this is what they were going for but you could have much better tasting good elsewhere for a fraction of the prices here. I got the lobster roll and truffle fries. I thought it tasted fine but my party did not like the truffle fries lol be weary if you have not tried truffles before. It's not for everyone.”
“My birthday party was at Pajarito in Saint Paul last week. We had about 25 in attendance. The staff did an excellent job keeping drinks flowing and the food refreshed. They were friendly and easy for my husband to work with on the planning. The food was good and we were able to bring in a cake. Thank you!”
“We had an unexpected and amazing afternoon here - so much so that I felt compelled to write a review. This is a hidden gem. We had fantastic service and great advice , the wine choices were amazing and all reasonably priced. Impressed and surprised by the food - which was fantastic! Definitely recommend the Brie bites. Will definitely return.”
“I like the selection and flavor of the food here. I would like to see more nutritional information for individual ingredients. Example chicken only, dressing only, etc. that way you can make better dietary ”
“Wow, what a meal! Excellent. I am going to treat my sister to this experience. It was pricey, but you got exactly what you paid for and had superior customer service.”
“Live right up the road but hadn't been until stopping by for happy hour. The space itself is a classy, "business casual" vibe. Not that it stopped me from rolling in wearing jeans and a hoodie. It was pretty quiet and the staff was really friendly. Seems like it's much more of a late-night and lunch spot. The happy hour menu is pretty good with a huge serving of excellent guac and chips. It's the good, chunky kind of guac that lets you know you're eating avocado instead of some avocado-flavored mush. Well seasoned and comes with really good chips that hold up to the weight. They have a bunch of tacos as well and the vegetarian option was really good. Lots of filling, fresh tortilla, and I was stuffed afterwards. Didn't get a drink but they have some good specials on those as well. I'll definitely be back at some point!”
“Great place to be honest! They should open it to the public, maybe?I love sushi in general and I can definitely say these are great quality. My taste bud lean more towards the healthy side. So If you’re looking for something like that? I’d recommend it.”
“The only drawback to The Tavern is that it can get loud, its so popular. The Sunday brunches are terrific. Great atmosphere, great food (including GF). If you're GF, ask for the separate menu.”
“Always super friendly and have always treated us well. They've always treated us well and have a great sushi happy hour! Never a long wait from order to table. My wife loves the steak dinner with rice and I frequent the sushi. We also go with the gyoza for an appetizer!”
“Very good service, and the food, the buffalo wrap very tasty! And if you like it a bit spicy I recommend it, it has chicken, jalapeños and lettuce, the smoothies are also very delicious!”
“This is my favorite restaurant! The food is always amazing, fresh, and quickly delivered. The only problem is trying to choose what to order. We had lunch today at Crave in the Galleria and it did not disappoint. My favorite 2 things on the menu, besides the sushi, are the lettuce wraps and the chopped chicken salad. The lettuce wraps include butter lettuce, wonderfully spiced chicken, chopped veggie topping, and crunchy noodles. Once served, you get to assemble your wrap with as much as you want of each thing, and there's a small pitcher of a soy chili sauce to pour over it all. So delicious! The chopped chicken salad has everything in it!! Craisins, sliced almonds, pieces of mild cheese, crunchy nuts, pulled chicken pieces, bacon, and a delicious Asian dressing. We shared both dishes and, when we couldn't eat another bite, topped it off with their Towering Chocolate Cake! There are so many options in this menu and everything I've ordered so far has been amazing. We were able to eat out in their sunny, indoor sunroom! It made for a wonderful day.”
“Today I had the wonderful experience of being served by Sam at the bar for dinner. His customer service and attention to detail is the reason I will be returning back. Working in Hospitality myself it's very difficult to find someone who has a natural niche in the customer service industry. Keep up the Great work!”
“A group of seven of us went for a 6:15 dinner reservation on a Wednesday... five adults, and two minors. It was pretty full for a Wednesday, I thought. Most of the adults ordered a beer and a burger/sandwich, no appetizers, and no dessert. The food was very good overall. Service was about average, but this could be because it was busy. The tab came to $150, plus the tip, so figure $25-30 per person. It's a nice location, plenty of parking. I'd go back.Dietary restrictions: Many gluten-free items.Kid-friendliness: It's a bar, but our 10-year-old enjoyed the ambiance. It's certainly not kid-UNfriendly.”
“Very nice food and a classy interior. A little more expensive than I would get for an average night out, but great for date night or an anniversary. We did pick up and the hostess was very friendly and polite. Cool interior with white drapery from the ceiling and a cozy vibe. We got Udon and calamari and thought it was very tasty.”
“It's a 5-minute walk from where I live and you usually has a solution to a "what am I in the mood for?" More affordable than the Whole Foods prepared food section for sure.”
“We went as a party of five on Easter Sunday. The staff were attentive and helped us with any of the issues. Why does this establishment have large tables set directly outside the bathrooms that look into each restroom as the door opens, and the smell of the bathroom wave out while you are eating? They tried to seat us at one of those and I asked for a different table, which they did accommodate as the server told us that the tables were already assigned and not sure that they could move us. For the quality of dining at a restaurant like Salut, I am aghast they would have tables within 6 feet of bathroom doors of which you can look right into when people exit and enter. The food was delicious. They did serve us an under flavored bowl of French onion soup, which they corrected when we notified them. The staff agreed that it was not up to par, and gave us a free bowl. The second was amazing. I would recommend this restaurant, but if you were calling to make a reservation, I would specifically request not to be seated at the bathroom tables. Come on y'all!”
“A lovely mom-and-pop restaurant that gives excellent value for $$. Everything is made from scratch in what I’d call a Latino Fusion style. I’ve only been there for lunch, where I’ve tried and highly recommend the Sandwich de Carne, Sandwich de Pernil, and Stuffed Poblano. Yummy house desserts include Tres Leches Cake, Crème Caramel, and Coffee Flan. Haven’t sampled the wine or beer, but the Arnie Palmer was delicious with homemade lemonade, not overly sweet. Décor is minimal but with fine-dining touches such as cloth napkins and fresh flower bouquets on each table. Great care obviously goes into each aspect of Cahill Bistro. Best of all, the staff is genuinely welcoming and attentive. Not to be missed!”
