“We were visiting from St Louis & stopped in one afternoon for a drink & guacamole. The guac is homemade; SO delicious & with homemade chips! We decided to return the next day for lunch. This time we had the tacos. Again, plentiful meat with the most delicious tasteful toppings. We were fortunate to have the same waiter, Tony. He’s definitely an asset to the restaurant. Very attentive & personable. Highly recommend this gem in St Paul!!“

“Taco Libre in Minneapolis was a perfect find, great location for where we were staying and even better food.
We went with the three taco birria meal with chips and salsa, and it absolutely delivered. The tacos were loaded with melty, delicious cheese, and the meat was super tender and cooked just right. Add in the fresh lime, cilantro, and onion, and it all came together perfectly.
Now let’s talk sauces...because they deserve their own moment. We tried a few (okay, maybe more than a few), and the hot green sauce was the clear winner. So good I’d honestly buy a bottle and take it home. The lighter green sauce was also really solid, and the red sauces had great flavor too, but that hot green one? Elite.
The staff was also incredibly kind and helpful, especially when we needed to box up leftovers (which, trust me, there was plenty of food). Always appreciate good service on top of great food.
