He told us they have a variety of original house salsas with different degrees of heat to choose from, we tried 2 and they were both very tasty. Everything had a true Mexican flavor! Very clean, it was full of Mexican and Latinamerican customers on a Sunday afternoon. It is a small restaurant inside a supermaket with a great team and genuine Mexican food. They have special discounts every weekday. I can’t wait to come back!“

I live for Mexican food and honestly this food was really top of the list. Everyone at the table indicated that the food was the best tasting they have had for a Mexican fare. Not just saying this. I had to think when I’ve had better, and couldn’t really come up with an answer. It was a long drive for us, but I’m going to have to make this trip again. Well done Sonora Mexican Kitchen and Bar! “I got the Quesabirria platter, Horchata, and tress leches cake, all amazing!! They have a toppings bar set up in the dining area so you can grab salsa or Radish and cucumbers for some extra crunch. Highly recommend trying the quesabirria tacos, they so such a good job with them.“

“I truly think this is the best Mexican food in Anoka County! Both locations! Ham Lake location is inside of the BP gas station right off of Constance and 65, you can eat inside or get takeout. They have their own app which makes online ordering a breeze! I feel like this is the best hidden food gem around, I’m assuming people either don’t realize it’s there or are turned off because it’s located inside of a BP. But it’s actually an adorable set up inside the BP and not weird at all :) I give this place 5/5 stars! 🌯🌮💕“

“We came on a very busy Saturday with a full patio due to unexpectedly nice weather. It was clear there are still some kinks to work out with it being a new restaurant - service was a little slow and they didn't seem fully staffed for summer yet. However, everything we ordered including drinks and food was amazing! We are so happy to see someone take over this gorgeous patio space in Uptown. The Quesatacos were incredibly tasty. A lovely combination of savor and texture.

The Quesatacos included a light spread of mayo. That’s really set the dish off in a way that was impressive.

The chips that came with the guacamole were very crisp and lovely as well. Although the guacamole serving was somewhat small.

All in all, exceeded our expectations and we will be back!“

“If you are with in the the metro area, run, helicopter, Uber or side shuffle, whatever gets you to this Authentic place of enjoyment. I tried the beef ramen, honestly not good, felt like an after thought meal. I wanted to try something different on cold night. I don't even care because everything else I've had here is that delicious and staff are helpful with pronouncing menu items as well as suggestions for all the different protein options. Daily specials and loaded Cubano have been notes of joy. The pork sliced from the flame rotisserie with shredded mango made me forget about the ramen. I think about their food all the time but try to only go if someone has never been or someone who knows, knows. When I said Authentic, I meant food as well as genuine costumer service. You feel like you're a wanted guest, I know it's a little old school!!!!! Art-A-Que review in progress, cause I will be back.....“

“Plenty of seating. The employees didn't understand english incredibly well, but absolutely enough to take orders, and they were very kind and helpful. The food was delicious and so worthwhile. We got combos. The fries are not exciting, but they're fries (and plenty.) And the chicken burger is grilled chicken, which it doesn't say on the menu. If you don't know spanish, the menu is not very descriptive. I'm really glad I tried this place out, and will be returning.“

On the negative side, parking is horrific, and there were a few hiccups with my order.Order Accuracy: Thankfully, I realized two items were missing before leaving the restaurant and the staff kindly addressed that quickly. However, another item was unfortunately missing, requiring me to drive back to get a refund. This was a bit of an inconvenience, and I hope the restaurant can double-check takeout orders more thoroughly in the future.Food: The food itself was decent, but not quite amazing. I ordered the chicken enchilada with rice and beans. I thought the beans would be refried, but they were not. My mistake for not asking. Overall, disappointed that the food wasn't quite up to par as the original Pepitos restaurant.Hoping my experience was due to an off day, and I'll probably go back one more time for a better Lupitas experience.
