“Stopped in for a late lunch on the patio. Was interested in a bitters & soda and the server recommended mixing the rhubarb and cardamom, which was delicious and refreshing. Followed that with the Chix Correa sandwich and a side salad. Wow! Really creative flavors and well-executed. Could tell everything was made from scratch and with high quality ingredients and care. Also the decor was fun and hip, the music top-notch, and the staff kind. I look forward to coming back soon!“

“-Vinai MN- My friend and I wanted to try Chef Yia's restaurant due to being homesick and wanting hmong food. We were met with such great service and sat where we could see the work area. Chef Yia was so kind and started us off with a complimentary appetizer, rice Curry balls. We ordered and the food came so fast. As soon as I took a bite, my eyes started to get teary because it tasted like food from home. I started fanning myself to not cry which Chef Yia saw and asked if the food was too spicy. We then started to explain that we were not from MN and were feeling a bit homesick and how the food reminded us of home. Chef Yia then said, here let's do this. He returned with a pot of beef soup that consisted of mushrooms, bamboo shoots, beef and green onion and white rice and shared that this dish was one of those dishes that we would eat at gathering and events. We we so shocked and so at loss with his kindness and compassion. We both took a bite and immediately lighted up. It tasted like my mom's cooking 💓. As we were nearing the end of our meal, Chef Yia told us not to stuff ourselves too full and surprised us with a complimentary dessert which further awed us. We were so lost at words for Chef Yia's kindness, generosity and comfort. We chose the Lava Cake and it was soooo good! I normally don't like sweets but we devoured this 😋. 1000/10 would recommend.“

“I hosted a welcome drinks event for ~80 guests at Norseman the night before my wedding and was incredibly impressed by the quality of the service, drinks, and overall atmosphere. We had originally reserved the outdoor patio space, but unexpected sideways rain forced us indoors. The staff at Norseman was exceptionally gracious and accommodating and helped us transition inside, which we all greatly appreciated.

Our guests had a wonderful time, and many commented on how much they enjoyed the DJ and the overall experience. I would highly recommend Norseman for any private event, and I'm confident both my husband and I (and many of our guests!) will be back in the future.“

“I cannot express how much I love this place! The food, the drinks, the service- it’s all wonderful. I never would have gone into this place but I read it was associated with Petit Leon which I’ve loved, so I gave it a try. No, it is not a Mexican restaurant as I assumed ( Tijuana is in Mexico. Right?) The food has a more Asian origin ( Mapo rigatoni, scallion pancake..) and it’s delicious! The drinks were fresh and flavorful. It’s my new favorite place. Love the neighborhood, love the vibe.“

“They have great food with tons of vegan options and a wonderful patio! Today I ordered my favorite dish a roti wrap and it accidentally came with chicken instead of the vegan chickpea version. That’s never happened to me there before. They felt really bad about it and made me a new one and comped my meal and that of my friend. That is above and beyond an excellent customer service. I highly recommend.“

“Small spot - have not ate here. However the drinks are some of the best crafter elevated drinks I’ve had beware they’re strong but so addicting and good. The music play list is always jamming and if you go on a Thursday karaoke is like a mini concert . Get your tail over her and fast you won’t regret it“

For the owners— I’d suggest reducing the serving size of the Picada Columbiana, but keep the same price. It is SO much food (and so yummy), but easily could serve 3-4 people. Also, would be fun to do a version with no fries, but with rice and beans! We ordered them on the side, and they were perfect with the meats.“

The flavor in these dishes was something I have never experienced at any other restaurant. They genuinely have a menu that caters to everyone’s likes and tastes. The service was wonderful and the owner was incredibly kind and eager to share his passion with us. I will 100000% be coming back and I highly recommend you go as well!“

“The tasting menu was a pretty solid deal. Highlights for us were the cauliflower, slab salad, and mapo'matriciana pasta. The cocktails were also great and we enjoyed sitting up at the bar. Somewhat slower service for food as other reviews say, however, the bartenders were handling most of it so that was understandable to us. Looking forward to the new concept coming soon!“

“Second time eating here at Jasmine 26 and exceptional both times! Even the 10 year olds I am rolling with are giving their dishes 10/10. Custom dishes, incredible broths, homemade everything, authentic as you are gonna get and even more delicious! Staff was so sweet and genuine. What a breath of fresh air! “My waiter Addison was great and very attentive. However, the short rib sandwich was over cooked and over priced. On line there were a couple of items that I didn't see on the actual menu while at the restaurant. We were given the lunch menu at the front door, this really confused me, later Addison eventually figured it out. The rest of the experience was nice. The comedy acts were funny, except for the second to last guy, that totally bombed, as part of his act was to call all women bitches. He was poorly prepared, and otherwise was not funny at all, and should not be invited back.“

“Food and vibes are good! Waitress with badly lined lips is very rude. Rolled eyes when we didn’t order alcohol and said “I guess” when my mother (who has memory issues and was there celebrating her birthday) asked for ice water. Then yelled at her (literally) for grabbing a pitcher of water off an empty table. Never checked on us once. The guy delivering the food gave a better experience just dropping it off than we had with her the entire time. I waited table for fifteen years and never once rolled my eyes at someone. Her tone and facial expressions were beyond rude. If she can’t act like she’s nice she might need a new job. The rest of the staff was BEYOND friendly so she really gave off a rotten apple vibe.“

“Flora Room is a gorgeous cocktail bar located behind and beneath Chef Del Prado's steakhouse Porzana. Fortunately, I arrived at 5:30 PM on a Saturday, which was early enough to avoid a line and a velvet rope. I don't wait in line for anything unless I'm at a pharmacy, bakery, post office, or airport. Lines at restaurants and bars strike me as pretentious or bad management, and I don't tolerate either. However, I'm old, and at my age, nothing is worth waiting for unless it's a necessity.

I found a seat at the beautiful and expansive bar and looked around at the Del Prado design. The colors might be different, but Flora was reminiscent of Minari and Noma. All three add to the Twin Cities' cachet. However, I was taken aback by the attire I saw around me. People were dressed in shorts, T-shirts, and sneakers. It's friggen Saturday night Minneapolis. Have some class!

Flora Room was a lovely cocktail lounge, perfect for wooing, but don't expect to strike up a conversation with any of the bartenders. At these Del Prado joints, the staff must be trained not to engage. I'm out alone and enjoy talking. Bartenders used to be part of a lounge's attraction when I grew up in NYC. They learned your name, knew what you did, and gave you a hearty welcome. That, I guess, is not part of the culture in Minneapolis. Well, at least not at the Del Prado restaurants and bars. Chef Del Prado is from Argentina, and certainly, Argentina is one of the warmest and friendliest countries in the world, so I don't get it. I now live up the block from the Flora Room. I'm a neighbor and would like to be treated like one. Neighborly and the Flora Room are distant concepts.“

We came here for the first time on our 4 year wedding anniversary with our toddler. What a wonderful establishment!

The food and drinks tasted elevated and complex and were at a reasonable price point. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Some highlights include the caulini tempura, the mentaiko maze udon, the scallop temaki, and the black sesame cheesecake from the dessert place next door (which will be opening soon!) My son was SO excited to eat rice (his favorite food) in the shape of a bear and loved his Calpico drink and the red bean fish treat dessert.

Our waiter was nice, but not overbearing. He was very knowledgeable about the menu, gave us informed recommendations, and provided good advice on handling the hand rolls. The place has simple, but classy decor, and a nice large patio. Management was very generous in recognizing our anniversary with a couple of surprises. We felt very taken care of and were glowing with appreciation at the end of our meal.

We feel grateful to have found this gem in the neighborhood which we plan on returning to many times in the future.“
