Had a bad first experience, but they've been good since!
It gets 5 stars not because it's the best, high quality, fancy food or atmosphere, but because for what it is, a sports, neighborhood bar vibe, it does a very good job. Smash Burger, basic but solid. Comes with LOTS of potato chips. I wish coleslaw was an option. Service was great. Super friendly, positive, not rushed. Asher's Bar & Grill offers a sports, neighborhood bar vibe and does a very good job for what it is. The Smash Burger is basic but solid and comes with LOTS of potato chips. The Wings and Ashers Pastrami sandwich are absolutely amazing. The smoked wings come recommended. The grand slam is a must for dessert. Service is great, super friendly, positive, and not rushed, with attentive service and a server who took a food allergy seriously. The bartender is professional, kind, funny, and makes incredible drinks with great cocktail and food suggestions. The historical connection of the name Asher to the initial construction of the Beach Club building itself is probably the coolest thing. It is a great spot for watching sports and an awesome dining experience.
