“Dexter’s in Edina is an absolute gem! The fried mortadella sandwich was stellar — easily one of the better sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. And the dry-rub wings were fantastic: perfectly seasoned, crispy, and packed with flavor.

On top of the great food, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere made the whole experience even better. You can tell there’s real care behind what they’re doing.

“The mango habanero wings at Carbone's are the reason I keep coming back. Sweet on the front end with real habanero heat on the finish, crispy skin, and just enough sauce to coat them without going soggy. They're listed under appetizers but they eat like a full meal. I've ordered them as my whole dinner more than once with zero regrets. Get the house made ranch on the side to take the edge off the heat. The pizza is excellent, but do not sleep on these wings.“

“The 1029 Bar is everything a neighborhood bar should be—friendly, unpretentious and always a great time. The giant outdoor screen makes it one of the best places in Minneapolis to watch football with a crowd. Between the pulltabs, bingo and the wheel, there’s always something fun going on. Add in the famous lobster rolls, strong drinks and great staff, and it’s hard to beat. A true Northeast Minneapolis classic!“

“Love the new space. Digital signage said burgers were $3 on Wednesdays. They were $4. Still tasty and a great deal, but update your sign. I sat for 10 minutes and watched the server take a picture of people at a table and chat with her friends. Never came near my high top table. I finally went to the bartender (very nice) who took my drink and food order. Server swung by 10 minutes later (20 minutes after I sat down). Told her I ordered from the bartender. She never stopped by after that. I was there for 45 minutes, saw her interact with her tables twice. Service was pretty scarce. 2 or 3 staff sitting in a booth. If the bartender hadn't been awesome, I would have left. Burger and onion rings were good.“

Could we get the party started at a moderate volume in the mid-morning? -2 stars for volumeOh--and loved the lockable, no look-under-or-over, gender-non-specific, full door and full privacy bathrooms??? “Great food and excellent service. The atmosphere needs an overhaul specifically the lighting. tables and chairs. It's way to bright and the ceiling is too high and visually needs to be lowered with something decorative. Comes across as a big room with bright lights.“

“It’s been hard to justify going out lately when you’re spending $18 on a meal and still receiving lackluster service. That’s exactly why I wanted to take the time to write this review.
Recently, we went to Cowboy Jack’s and had Justin as our server. He was an absolute joy! His great attitude and service made a night out on the town genuinely enjoyable again.
