“Bar tender looked amazing while doing a Great job of serving an intensely concentrated rush. This establishment gets a five stars but I will criticize that the bartender was doing such a good job and was so focused on her work that she couldn't give me her number. I decided to take a picture of their grounds from the back of the bar and it is the best of any I have uploaded or been rated for. I might have been banned from the bar for being weird but I absolutely love this place!“

“Food is SOO GOOD!! But what annoys me is the papaya salad. Whyyyy advertise that it comes with cabbage but when you order it, IT DOES NOT COME WITH CABBAGE!!! 🙄. Its just very annoying and false advertisement. They literally got their menu redone but couldnt edit out the cabbage part/picture?? Make it make sense. I am curious what is the owners excuse is. Sometimes i order the papaya to go and ask for cabbage and they say its for dine in only but when i order it dining in, they say it doesnt come with cabbage. 🤨. Plus they charge for pepper on the side🌶️ 😮….i wanted it for my pork belly laab 💣.“

“What a night - somehow even after the wild loss this Sunday our group had a blast! Food was great - service was impeccable and the view was extremely enjoyable. After all of that I would have been a repeat customer but it gets even better …. I was in a hurry to beat traffic and I left my vest Sunday evening. They are closed on Monday …. I reached out via Facebook and they returned my vest with my truck keys - which is already a huge win - but they showed up during closed hours for me on Monday to make it happen- next level stuff I’m still blown away that they went this far above and beyond … can’t wait for my next trip to the cities for zambonis !! “I have a son who has Celiacs Disease and eating out is always a challenge. Not only is it hard to find places that can accommodate his dietary needs, it’s even harder to find places that have ‘staples’ that actually taste like he remembers before he had to cut out gluten. I heard about this place on a GF Facebook page and my wife I decided to make the 40+ minute drive from home as an end of the week treat. We couldn’t have been more pleased. The menu was actually hard for him to choose from so we almost let him try it all. We started with fried pickles and cheese curds, one of which was completely new to him, and the other which is a rare thing to find because of the batter and non-dedicated fryers. Both were amazing. For his main course he did fried walleye and tater tots. There was so much food that he was able to make it into two more meals the next day and they reheated perfectly in an air fryer at home. For dessert he had GF deep fried Oreos and ice cream. That dish was completely devoured with no leftovers remaining. My wife’s and my meals were not GF, but there was more options than we could handle and those dishes were also amazing.

The ambiance was typical of a small town sports bar/pub, which is again a rarity in terms of finding that kind of food in that type of establishment. Our server was very friendly and the person who delivered the food was equally friendly. I suspect he was an owner or the manager and he answered additional questions we had about the food prep and handling of the GF ingredients and cooking. We will definitely be making the trip back!“

“when we called in and ask about pizza special. They didnt tell both of them. I would have ordered the other special. Then it wasnt ready on time. The topper was I had to break a 20.00 for .3 cents. I know I am only one customer. I came in there at least once a week. Because of the .3 cents not because of the other two problems. I will not be back.“

The staff is amazing, the food is incredible and the community is tight knit and welcoming. I couldn't have picked a better city to live in than St. Paul, and Pillbox is a major reason for it.“

“When I eat I drink Bloody Mary's they just taste better with my food if I feel like a drink, let me tell you I had a very reasonable priced Bloody Mary and it was on Point I could taste everything in the drink a first for me and it had all the fixings as well, I appreciated that. They also have a place too eat Pop's and Son grill I ordered 4 wings and a brisket topped Baked potato I asked for my wings hard didn't get that but they tasted ok and the brisket was not a lot but also good I didn't bring my wings back because they seemed real busy they brought me someone else's food at first them my order and I appreciated Who I assume was Pop came and talked to his customer's checking on them and their food they gave us A 1 service I work in kitchen's and understand things happen sometimes it's how you react to the situation and after that matters the most and they gave the all. “A classic Saint Paul neighborhood bar, with simple grub yet so affordable, a mix of Asian and American. All served as takeaway but you can eat it there if you want and the portions are gigantic. There's bingo two nights a week, a Friday afternoon meat raffle, and pulltabs/etabs. Locals are the majority of the clientele but for all its grittiness, it's a safe place with patrons who care about the establishment! Watch out for the parking lot. It's a dirt lot minefield of potholes that will destroy your transmission of you go faster than 1 mph.“

“The lovely Applebee’s staff was out of umbrellas for our drink and when we pointed out that it didn’t look like the picture, management made a personalized umbrella. I’d give them 6 stars if I could. Highly recommend doing late night apps.“

“My husband and I live 40 minutes away and we specifically drive to this restaurant for the best authentic Mexican ever!
We always eat Beria or fajitas, but we are just there today and we tried two different soups and they were so phenomenal.

The staff is extremely amazing and attentive. It is a great fun vibe and all the local locals have good energy. Highly recommend this place forever. Looking back to go again in the next few days.“

“food was good as always, waitress was on top of refills and very friendly, downside to that place is far too many car side to go spots, barely any regular close to the building parking, and cant really tell if parking is for hotel adjacent to the restaurant or actual Applebee's parking. I would go back and rethink the car side to go spots making it only two vs 7 freaking spots.“

“I placed a pickup order and, after getting home, realized my usual Traditional Hot wings didn’t taste quite right. I tried to overlook it, but I just wasn’t a fan, so I called.

Damien took care of me right away and told me to come back in and that he’d handle it. He not only replaced my order, but offered desert and whatever else he could to ensure things were right!
