“The lovely Applebee’s staff was out of umbrellas for our drink and when we pointed out that it didn’t look like the picture, management made a personalized umbrella. I’d give them 6 stars if I could. Highly recommend doing late night apps.“

“Grand opening day, Thursday...the pizza St Paul didnt know we needed! I saw their facebook post a few days ago for an 11:00 opening w free pizza for the first 50. I was about 20th in line @ 5 to open, the last one in line. PJ was the friendly order taker. After ordering my pizza i was offered a glass of ice water! Hey, thanks! I appreciated that they kept it simple for open/free, offering cheese, sausage or pepperoni. My pizza came up fast & was delicious! The crust?! My go-to is to toss the crust back on the plate but Maya's is like a butter crust..... delicious. No wasting a bite & tossing the crust, eat it all. I like the digs; a normal dining room but if you go to the left, there's a yellow & foilage room, the patio room. How fun. I didnt indulge today but am quite intrigued by Tattersall cocktails on tap! There is a small parking lot in the back but also free sude street parking & free parking on both sides of 7th. I appreciate that below the trash is pizza & to go boxes, help yourself. After all of that I would have been a repeat customer but it gets even better …. I was in a hurry to beat traffic and I left my vest Sunday evening. They are closed on Monday …. I reached out via Facebook and they returned my vest with my truck keys - which is already a huge win - but they showed up during closed hours for me on Monday to make it happen- next level stuff I’m still blown away that they went this far above and beyond … can’t wait for my next trip to the cities for zambonis !! “I have a son who has Celiacs Disease and eating out is always a challenge. Not only is it hard to find places that can accommodate his dietary needs, it’s even harder to find places that have ‘staples’ that actually taste like he remembers before he had to cut out gluten. I heard about this place on a GF Facebook page and my wife I decided to make the 40+ minute drive from home as an end of the week treat. We couldn’t have been more pleased. The menu was actually hard for him to choose from so we almost let him try it all. We started with fried pickles and cheese curds, one of which was completely new to him, and the other which is a rare thing to find because of the batter and non-dedicated fryers. Both were amazing. For his main course he did fried walleye and tater tots. There was so much food that he was able to make it into two more meals the next day and they reheated perfectly in an air fryer at home. For dessert he had GF deep fried Oreos and ice cream. That dish was completely devoured with no leftovers remaining. My wife’s and my meals were not GF, but there was more options than we could handle and those dishes were also amazing.

The ambiance was typical of a small town sports bar/pub, which is again a rarity in terms of finding that kind of food in that type of establishment. Our server was very friendly and the person who delivered the food was equally friendly. I suspect he was an owner or the manager and he answered additional questions we had about the food prep and handling of the GF ingredients and cooking. We will definitely be making the trip back!“

“when we called in and ask about pizza special. They didnt tell both of them. I would have ordered the other special. Then it wasnt ready on time. The topper was I had to break a 20.00 for .3 cents. I know I am only one customer. I came in there at least once a week. Because of the .3 cents not because of the other two problems. I will not be back.“

The staff is amazing, the food is incredible and the community is tight knit and welcoming. I couldn't have picked a better city to live in than St. Paul, and Pillbox is a major reason for it.“

“When I eat I drink Bloody Mary's they just taste better with my food if I feel like a drink, let me tell you I had a very reasonable priced Bloody Mary and it was on Point I could taste everything in the drink a first for me and it had all the fixings as well, I appreciated that. They also have a place too eat Pop's and Son grill I ordered 4 wings and a brisket topped Baked potato I asked for my wings hard didn't get that but they tasted ok and the brisket was not a lot but also good I didn't bring my wings back because they seemed real busy they brought me someone else's food at first them my order and I appreciated Who I assume was Pop came and talked to his customer's checking on them and their food they gave us A 1 service I work in kitchen's and understand things happen sometimes it's how you react to the situation and after that matters the most and they gave the all. “A classic Saint Paul neighborhood bar, with simple grub yet so affordable, a mix of Asian and American. All served as takeaway but you can eat it there if you want and the portions are gigantic. There's bingo two nights a week, a Friday afternoon meat raffle, and pulltabs/etabs. Locals are the majority of the clientele but for all its grittiness, it's a safe place with patrons who care about the establishment! Watch out for the parking lot. It's a dirt lot minefield of potholes that will destroy your transmission of you go faster than 1 mph.“

We always eat Beria or fajitas, but we are just there today and we tried two different soups and they were so phenomenal.

They want people to have a good experience and make sure to engage with you and everyone else who comes in. The food is excellent especially the New York strip. It is actually better than Texas roadhouse in my opinion. The Reuben, Reuben bites, burgers & German food are a common customer choice. I recommend this place. Kat is an incredible bartender with a warm welcome and a smile just waiting for you. She makes each visit special- a reason to visit and return!“

“food was good as always, waitress was on top of refills and very friendly, downside to that place is far too many car side to go spots, barely any regular close to the building parking, and cant really tell if parking is for hotel adjacent to the restaurant or actual Applebee's parking. I would go back and rethink the car side to go spots making it only two vs 7 freaking spots.“

“Food: 9/10 the wings my dad got were a bit dry but they gave him extra since it was almost closing time the chicken dippers were amazing and the curds were excellent amazing ranch and the garlic parm is really good

Hospitality: 12/10 even though it was near closing time all employees were extremely kind and one worker was even concerned I didn't get a drink and offered water. Had to say I had one in the car
