“Visited for the first time with my daughter around 9 pm on a Friday evening. Every employee we encountered was super friendly! Our server was amazing. I think his name was Grayson but I’m not 100%. He was always there when we needed something, provided great suggestions and was just fun, personable and all around outstanding. This restaurant appears to be a popular nightspot as it definitely got busier as the night went on. Great music. Nice selection of small plates, decent prices. Good variety of cocktails with fun names. Large selection of beer. Highly recommend the Mushroom Bruschetta! Amazing and was served piping hot! They have those real good fries too…definitely would get again. The chicken wings were also delicious. Perfect crisp on the outside and nice spice to them. Try dipping the fries in the spicy sauce that comes with the chicken. I would recommend this spot and will go back.“

“Excellent food, service and atmosphere. We had the prosciutto and melon, ravioli, scallop risotto, pork chop and chocolate nemesis. All were delicious.The ravioli was some of the best pasta I've ever had - so light yet so flavorful! We were celebrating a birthday and it was a nice touch that our lovely server gave us a handwritten card with a little bag of chocolate truffles. We look forward to returning soon.“

However, with the positive reviews accumulating over the years, I decided to give it another try. I'm pleased to say that this time around, I was very satisfied. The portions were generous, the food was delicious, and the wait staff was attentive. Although the dining room was loud during our visit at a peak time, I won't let that deter me from returning. I'll simply choose a different time for my next visit.“

“We held our company Christmas Party at their beautiful restaurant and had such a great time! The staff were so attentive and wonderful to interact with throughout the whole evening! We ordered an array of food and our employees couldn’t stop talking about how fantastic the prime rib and KFC (Korean fried cauliflower) were! The talk around the shop about this event and the delicious food went on for days! We all had such a great experience from start to finish. They made it so easy to plan, set up, host and tear down. We would highly recommend anyone looking to host a party to come here! Now if you are just looking for a bite to eat for a date night or family night out, they also have you covered. No matter what plans you have this is the spot to be! A huge thanks to Lake and Irving for all they did for us and a massive thank you to Chris the chef! “Visiting from South Dakota and ate at the St Paul location tonight-the service was outstanding. We had someone in our party who is gluten free, and our waiter did an incredible job of explaining all of her options. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, from the front check in-desk women, to the waiter, to the other staff that helped bring out food and drinks and extra things. “Went to their food truck at the farmers market. Ordered a pizza they didn’t even have on the menu, and they made it anyway. 100% delicious. So cool to watch them make the pizza with my toddler. His mind was blown by the fire oven. I was impressed they were doing it outside in 80+ degree weather. Great people. Great pizza. I’m for sure speaking out their restaurant after this experience.“

“Wonderful old fashioned bakery selling all kinds of delicious donuts, pastries, cookies, cakes, pies, and breads. Go ahead and order anything from their menu because you can't go wrong. Personally I think they make the best donuts in town.“

“We ordered an arraignment of items off the menu and they were all very very good. The lowest score we gave anything was an 8.5/10. The mandu was very good. Even our children wanted more. My husband was very pleased with the kimchi pancake. He didn't finish it on purpose so he could have some again later. Our children LOVED the japche (glass noodle) and I can't blame them. It was very flavorful and by far probably the best I have had. I do wish there was a bit more noodles but it was so good it really doesn't matter. 10/10. We also had bulgogi and bibim bop. Both very good as well. Good portions. We were highly satisfied and would definitely be back if we were locals.

Parking: There was plenty of parking space and at no cost.

Great food coupled with great service drove my family to stop here twice during our weekend trip to Minneapolis. Here are our must tries: Cheese Curd: Lightly battered and geniusly paired with thousand island dressing which breaks up the acidity of the cheese and brings out the rich creamy cheese flavor. Bologna Sandwich: Not from your childhood! This homemade recipe marries a blend of spices that makes your tastebuds dance. Lightly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside…assembled with homemade American cheese, a slice of crisp white onion on toasted white bread… the best I’ve had in my life! Chicken Gizzards: Technique, technique, technique. I can only wonder the effort and preparation on the front end that makes these gizzards so, so tender. Lightly battered and minimal frying time leave these gizzard with a “cut with a folk” and “melt in your mouth” texture that I have never experienced before.“

“Can I give EATO, ten stars? Food - the best I have had in years; the service - flawless, perfect mix of professional and friendly; the atmosphere - welcoming and casual. I would not have changed a thing! I had a large group of people coming into Minneapolis from all over the country and a few local friends recommended EATO for the group farewell dinner. A few weeks ago I stopped in and talked to the manager, Jason, and he suggested a half restaurant buyout for the group with tables over by the bar. (Excellent idea, it worked out great!) Then he connected me with Chloe who helped me pick menu items so my guests could choose a salad course and an entree course from five options, with optional protein additions, she also printed out custom menus to welcome my guests. Super easy process, and Chloe had great suggestions,. When we arrived Jesse, Connor, and Chloe were ready and waiting at the bar to handle the group of 30 people, serving them drinks with fresh flowers in them, special tap beers, and bubbly Prosecco. I think part of the group also had some killer Old Fashions they raved about. Connor and Jesse were our servers and they moved through the tables taking orders, delivering the food, filling water glasses, getting drinks, etc. The table service was impeccable, these guys know how to treat guests like honored family. (What more could you ask for?!) I don't know the chef's name, but kudos to the kitchen. The food came out quickly, and was plated beautifully. Without fail, every guest told me that their meal was fantastic. I personally had the beet salad (yum!) and the chicken Parmesan. It was the best chicken parm I have ever had, not kidding. “Food is top notch. I don’t know how or why but this place had the best burger I’ve eaten all year and it’s not even an American restaurant. I don’t recommend the wings but I only tried one version of them. Everything else on the menu is above par. The Cheese and every dish containing cheese is phenomenal.
Atmosphere is as good as it gets and being able to observe the kitchen out of the corner of your eye without needing to stare at it is cool.

Service is good. Please note that every restaurant gets 5 stars for service unless something awful happens.
