“We’re so fortunate to have this gem just blocks from our home. It is incredible to have this level of food and an impeccable wine list tucked into a cozy neighborhood location. Having tried basically every tasting menu in town, the food at Bûcheron easily ranks at the very top. The bar is a perfect spot to drop in for a night cap and dessert, too. We’ve enjoyed two memorable dinners and several pop-ins for drinks and sweets and each time service has been knowledgeable and attentive and plates have been smart and well-balanced. It had a unique blend of flavors and I didn’t expect the grapes to go so well with it! The broccolini with burrata was ok, but probably wouldn’t get it again. The service was nice but pretty slow. It took a long time to order and get drinks, appetizers, and entrees.“

The carrot and beet starter was colorful and delicious, the salmon and scallop mains impeccable, but the highlight was the dessert of poached pears with a flavored crème anglais sauce for which we insisted on getting spoons to capture every drop. “Strawberry coconut dream is quite sweet definitely a good balance of coconut and strawberry flavors (heavily). Tacos are on the larger quantity side. Sesame Chicken taco is crispy, tangy, with a good kick of spice. Al pastor taco is good, tangy with the bit of pineapple. Carnitas taco is very savory and juicy. The corn tortillas are nice and soft. Definitely have the sesame last because it overwhelms the other flavors. The sweet corn cake is super soft, a very light cornbread flavor. Elote is good, simple and yummy.“

“I initially visited this place when it first opened, and my experience wasn't impressive enough to make me return. However, with the positive reviews accumulating over the years, I decided to give it another try. I'm pleased to say that this time around, I was very satisfied. The portions were generous, the food was delicious, and the wait staff was attentive. Although the dining room was loud during our visit at a peak time, I won't let that deter me from returning. I'll simply choose a different time for my next visit.“

We ordered an array of food and our employees couldn’t stop talking about how fantastic the prime rib and KFC (Korean fried cauliflower) were! The talk around the shop about this event and the delicious food went on for days! We all had such a great experience from start to finish. They made it so easy to plan, set up, host and tear down. We would highly recommend anyone looking to host a party to come here! Now if you are just looking for a bite to eat for a date night or family night out, they also have you covered. We had someone in our party who is gluten free, and our waiter did an incredible job of explaining all of her options. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, from the front check in-desk women, to the waiter, to the other staff that helped bring out food and drinks and extra things. Food was fantastic-loved all of the great sauces. Well done to the staff at Red Cow St. Paul!“

“Warning up front: they only have a couple picnic tables out front to sit at, otherwise expect to the take your pizza to go.

The pizza is excellent here. The crust is some of the best I've ever had. Light, crunchy, and the flavor is spot on. I had a simple sausage pizza and the sausage and cheese are both very good. The sauce is classic Neapolitan and the spices used, while simple, were well balanced. My only note is cheese/topping slippage. The cheese wants to come with on every bite. That being said, the crust and sauce is so tasty I would gladly eat a slice with no cheese or toppings.

I also had a raspberry lemonade. $6 for a bottle of lemonade is expensive, but dam if that isn't the best lemonade I've had.“

“Amazing burgers and fries. Best in the Twin Cities. The Parmesan Truffle fries are my go to. This is the place I always bring my out of town friends and family. The service is always great, but expect a wait. They do not take reservations. Good things come to those who wait.“

The only complaint is the parking lot size. There is barely enough room to maneuver. I hope there's some way to make it a bit bigger.

“Can I give EATO, ten stars? Food - the best I have had in years; the service - flawless, perfect mix of professional and friendly; the atmosphere - welcoming and casual. I would not have changed a thing! I had a large group of people coming into Minneapolis from all over the country and a few local friends recommended EATO for the group farewell dinner. A few weeks ago I stopped in and talked to the manager, Jason, and he suggested a half restaurant buyout for the group with tables over by the bar. (Excellent idea, it worked out great!) Then he connected me with Chloe who helped me pick menu items so my guests could choose a salad course and an entree course from five options, with optional protein additions, she also printed out custom menus to welcome my guests. Super easy process, and Chloe had great suggestions,. When we arrived Jesse, Connor, and Chloe were ready and waiting at the bar to handle the group of 30 people, serving them drinks with fresh flowers in them, special tap beers, and bubbly Prosecco. I think part of the group also had some killer Old Fashions they raved about. Connor and Jesse were our servers and they moved through the tables taking orders, delivering the food, filling water glasses, getting drinks, etc. The table service was impeccable, these guys know how to treat guests like honored family. (What more could you ask for?!) I don't know the chef's name, but kudos to the kitchen. The food came out quickly, and was plated beautifully. Without fail, every guest told me that their meal was fantastic. I personally had the beet salad (yum!) and the chicken Parmesan. It was the best chicken parm I have ever had, not kidding. “Every valentines day my husband and I try a new steak restaurant. We love steak amd I couldnt cook it

In 2021 we could not go out for steak due to covid. Sample room had a take and bake meal with clear instructions. It was a great meal with baby steaks and veggies etc. But since that day I am not afraid to cook steak because of the precise instructions. They gave me what I needed.

It's now 2024 and I rock at cooking steak.

Lightly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside…assembled with homemade American cheese, a slice of crisp white onion on toasted white bread… the best I’ve had in my life! Chicken Gizzards: Technique, technique, technique. I can only wonder the effort and preparation on the front end that makes these gizzards so, so tender. Lightly battered and minimal frying time leave these gizzard with a “cut with a folk” and “melt in your mouth” texture that I have never experienced before.“

La mesa is a hidden gem tucked away in the neighborhood with a great outdoor space in the summer. In my opinion, they have some of the best pizza in the city The corn pizza is my favorite and the weekly special last week was slow roasted pork and chimichurri sauce which was delicious. “The pizza is pretty good and I would go back again. My wife and I had a pepperoni and jalapeno pie. The crust was pretty good, I would like a slight bit more chew to it, but flavorful none the less. We really liked the sauce as it wasn't too much and very flavorful. Oddly enough the pepperoni didn't have a lot of flavor, but it had a good bite through and was a good size.

They have a good local beer selection and the atmosphere was nice with a section for pickup and dine in. You can also see them making the pies.

The service was fast, attentive, and she boxed the leftover pie up for us.

Parking is a bit of a challenge, so be prepared to drive around to find a spot on adjacent streets.“
