Great service staff, incredible food, great mission. Highly recommend!!
My friend and I had an incredible time at Owamni. My compliments to the chef. Truly one of a kind experience. The food was outstanding from start to finish ( presentation, flavor profile, texture, all natural and full of character). There’s not a place that’s more unique than Owamni in Minnesota, in my opinion . I highly recommend this establishment, and I wish you prosperity and success.
What an amazing experience start to finish. We have been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time and it happened to work this weekend. If we could’ve ordered one of everything on the menu we would have. The food was cooked to perfection and the service was excellent. Can’t wait to come back.

Owamni (Original) by The Sioux Chef offers a spirited experience that completely blows guests away. The food, ambiance, and people are all exceptional. The staff have a clear respect for the food and each other, offering kind advice and words of encouragement. Service is exceptional, with pleasant, attentive, and quick staff. The atmosphere features nice music, good lighting, and comfortable chairs.
Specific meals mentioned include the quail, duck mush dish, elk and white bean sope, and the Marichou (corn dish). The bison rib eye is tender and delicious, while the skirt steak is done well with excellent herb chimichurri. Salmon is yummy. Oysters are well cleaned with a great blackberry minonette. The rez dog cocktail is highly recommended. For dessert, the duck egg custard is amazing, and the Mota ska (cold brew coffee) is a love. Sweet potato gnocchi has very good flavor and textures. Mole chips with bean dip are a great, zero-waste idea. The egg custard is amazing. Game sausage has a good sauce, though the texture is drier than standard. Some guests wished for larger yuca fries and would skip the oysters or green beans for other options. Overall, it is a great gluten/dairy free restaurant with a great idea of not excluding spices from Asia.
