“This location is consistently fast, the employees are always friendly, and the inside is always neat and clean. My only complaint is that about every 5th time I order a supreme taco (and sometimes my whole order is only that one taco) they fail to make it a supreme and unfortunately I ususally don't notice until I get it home. All around a good location though.“

“It's Taco Tuesday and I was craving Mexican food, but I didn't just wanna go to the type of place you think of when "Mexican" is brought up... I'm fancy, so I wanted something a bit more upscale. I did a little bit of research and wouldn't you know it... Colita came up. So here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set south of downtown and a bit west of The Mall of America on Penn Avenue is this gem. There is no private parking lot, but plenty of street parking to leave your fly ride. But once you walk up to the restaurant you can immediately understand the message they're trying to send. Everything looks so modern, straightforward with straight lines, grey colors and light woods. There is a small outdoor section where you can dine if you get lucky enough to land a spot there. Inside carries a very similar style with a little nod to the pueblos and architecture of the southwest. The decor is minimalistic and the "loudest" thing in the room is the live plant wall seated directly behind the bar, which was super cool. Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but we had no issues whatsoever. Food/Drink: I was able to try so many different dishes and drinks here and the list is below... 🍹: Xochitl In Love 🍸: La Clandestina 🐟: Tuna Tostada 🌮: Chicken Tinga Tostada 🦪: Seared Scallops 🫓: Tlayuda 🥃: Colita Old Fashioned 🥩: Lamb Barbacoa Tacos 🫔: Duck Tamal However, my favorite things were the Lamb Barbacoa Tacos, Duck Tamal and Seared Scallops, in that order. The food here is phenomenal, the drinks are excellently crafted and things are served tapas style so you don't get too full off of just one thing! Order a whole bunch of stuff and share with the table! Value: As I mentioned earlier, I wanted upscale and the priced dddooo reflect that. Lol. This is a nice place so be prepared to spend... Like you're downtown somewhere. In conclusion, I loved this place and I will come back over and over. Check this place out the next time you're in the area!“

“Family was attending a get together at Minneapolis Axe Throwing and afterwards decided to grab a bite. Decided to stop by Sonora Mexican Kitchen just happenstance. WOW. I live for Mexican food and honestly this food was really top of the list. Everyone at the table indicated that the food was the best tasting they have had for a Mexican fare. Not just saying this. I had to think when I’ve had better, and couldn’t really come up with an answer. It was a long drive for us, but I’m going to have to make this trip again. Well done Sonora Mexican Kitchen and Bar! “I tried Que Taco for the first time..the location in New Hope off of Bass Lake Road. The handmade tortillas are excellent and the Pozole as one of the best I have had...very authentic. It was so good we went back the next day to try the chilaquiles and machete. All very good!“

The price for a burrito bowl starts at $9.95 but be careful, they tack on extra charges for things like queso and guacamole. So suddenly you $9.95 bowl is $13. I think $2.95 for a bottle of water is a ridiculous mark up.“

“I enjoyed Masa & Agave, located downstairs in the Hotel Ivy, where I almost lived in a condo above the hotel. It’s in an area of downtown that can get desolate after the workday, which is why I chose not to live there. However, after an event at Orchestra Hall, Masa & Agave was perfect. Gorgeously appointed, Masa comes across as classy, with prices to match. This is not your rowdy taco joint. Service was good, if a bit casual for such an elegant place. My short rib tacos were delicious, juicy, and flavorful. I enjoyed them. Cocktails were okay, but they lacked any originality. That was what I felt overall at Masa. The restaurant lacked an identity and came across as very corporate. If I were within a block and a half, I would return to Masa & Agave, but it wouldn’t be a destination restaurant for me.“

I tried the beef ramen, honestly not good, felt like an after thought meal. I wanted to try something different on cold night. I don't even care because everything else I've had here is that delicious and staff are helpful with pronouncing menu items as well as suggestions for all the different protein options. Daily specials and loaded Cubano have been notes of joy. The pork sliced from the flame rotisserie with shredded mango made me forget about the ramen. I think about their food all the time but try to only go if someone has never been or someone who knows, knows. When I said Authentic, I meant food as well as genuine costumer service.
