“I ordered a king cake to take in to work- without a doubt the best one I’ve had, it melts in your mouth! The staff was exceptionally friendly and offered an extra cup of frosting. Great environment if you’re just looking for a place in Minneapolis to sit down with a cup of coffee and a treat too!“
“This place has an authentic, charming small-town vibe. Wonderful pies and Dave is a true gem. The day we visited he was out of fruit pie because he was making them for a 300 person wedding and they were selling as soon as he took fresh ones out of the oven!“
“I ordered online and did pick up for 2 dozen donuts. It was easy and the worker was nice enough to separate the donuts for me as I needed it in two boxes. The donuts were delicious and I brought them for my last day of work! They easily were gone as they make them fresh and delicious! Would come back again!“
“Stopped in for lunch & tried the turkey pastrami sandwich. It was SO GOOD. Way better than a sandwich has any business being. I'd say it was the special dipping sauce (it kinda was), but also everything was super fresh. I'll be back to try some treats.“
“Amazing carrot cake cupcakes! No nuts or raisins (this place is fantastic for folks with a nut allergy!) I love that the cupcakes are the traditional size and not those super-sized ones. Snoopy bars are soooo good! So many wonderful things to try--I'll be back!“
“This is a neighborhood gem and is the place to come for rustic, whole grain and sourdough breads. Their other baked goods that I've tried including this curry roll, cheddar biscuit, and scones are also really good. The only thing I had from here that was just OK to me was their chocolate croissant. Seating is pretty limited so I have only done take out.I like that their offerings are constantly rotating with the seasons. The owner and staff are super friendly and I'm really glad they are in Longfellow!“
“Rebecca's is our favorite bakery in Minneapolis. The owner and his wife are friendly and welcoming and their cream puffs, fruit tarts, cakes, turn overs and scones are delicious. They're not overly sweet so you don't feel sick after you eat them. We also buy his coffee he imports the organic beans from Ethiopia and roasts them in house. We LOVE Rebecca's and are so glad they are our neighbors!“
“The ONLY, TRUE Deutsche Bäckerei I can find in MN or WI. Everything is absolutely delicious and Authentic. If you’ve ever been to Germany, and miss the bread, this is the place to go. If you’ve always wanted to go to Germany, but haven’t, this is a little taste of Heaven to inspire you to visit. The service is 2nd to none, they are so friendly and welcoming, and the bread and pastries… oh my lord. SO GOOD. I have yet to find something I didn’t like. I always stock up when I go (I live about 45 min away) Support this small business and wonderful owners. You won’t regret it once you try it.“
“The beautiful look of the cupcakes, is somehow surpassed by the wonderful flavors of the cupcakes. The delicious flavorful cakes and cookies, nothing like I have ever tasted. They have brightened up the building formerly known as QC pizza and numerous other food pop in spots, to bring truly wonderful vegan num nums to the Nokomis neighborhood. LOVE IT!!“
“I loved my Dolche de Leche latte! It was sweet enough without being over powering. I liked the banana bread loaf as well. Street parking was easy to find too! My only complaint is that it gets super busy and has limited seating. I came to sit and visit with a friend and we waited for seating and it was fairly loud. Once it calmed down, it was the perfect environment to visit. I also found the staff very kind and calm despite it being so busy! I would visit again any time!Parking: There is a hill on the side of the coffee shop where it seems the majority of people parked. The neighborhood also has a lot of space to park. Parking on Penn is limited due to a large 30 min parking area, but I found this to be the best parking.“
“Such good ice cream. It made my mouth orgasm. It was awkward because everyone around me was wondering why I was moaning so much while eating my ice dream. Then I sneezed and shot ice cream out my nose. That is how you orgasm out of your face.“
“Stopped in on my Saturday morning adventure. Absolutely delicious biscuit with freshly cooked ingredients. As a Tea lover I was excited to see many different options of tea including black, green, herbal, and seasonal flavors. Place was busy, but the staff got through orders fast. Plenty of seating and a great vibe. A place you don't tell your friends about, but bring them to, because you selfishly want to be able to claim you showed them it.“
“This place is an absolute favorite! I come here regularly and although everything I’ve tried is great, my favorites are the egg and cheese croissant sandwich (unlike any you’ve ever had) kouign amann, and almond poppy citrus bread. It gets crowded on the weekends but if you can snag a seat inside or on the patio, the atmosphere is really nice. Walk right over to the lake if you’d rather take your food to go!I even ordered my wedding cake from Black Walnut! The Cassis Vanilla Bavarian makes for a perfect cutting cake and is beautiful and delicious.“
“The lemon custard tart & the boston cream pie cupcake were delicious. The house made chai was soothing with a little kick to it. The quiche & tart were good too. We went there without realizing there was no dine in, just take out. It was on a Friday morning, the demand was so high they were already running out of some items.“
“Now, if you're lookin' for a taste of heaven right here on earth, this place is where it's at.At Cardigan Donuts, they ain't messin' around with no plain ol' biscuits. Naw, they're fryin' up the most delicious, melt-in-your-mouth donuts you ever did see. From classic glazed to fancy filled, they got flavors that'll make ya weak in the knees. And let me tell ya, the folks over at Cardigan Donuts, they sure know how to treat ya right. They'll welcome ya with a smile wider than a country mile and make ya feel like family from the moment ya walk in.next time you're hankerin' for a sweet treat that'll leave ya grinnin' from ear to ear, head on down to Cardigan Donuts. Trust me, it'll be the best decision ya ever made.“
“Stopped in for a dozen donuts to give as a gift, and one extra for a dessert craving wife. Was met with 12 amazing looking donuts, a very cool guy working the register and a 10/10 mango iced donut with pineapple jelly. Would give 6 stars if I could, and they earned an absolute repeat customer.“
“We recently tried Heather’s Pies for the first time and picked up the pies on our way home from the hospital after having a child. Heather’s pies were delicious and her customer service was exceptional! She even gave us one of the pies for free as a congratulations gift to our family! The overall experience was second to none and we highly recommend!“
“We stumbled across this when looking for African food and it's the greatest gem ever in the heart of downtown. The service was amazing from taking our order over the phone to rushing to get our food to us, as hot as possible. The woman that helped us was sweet and very gracious for our business, when we should be thankful for her. This food is 10/10 in every aspect. The fufu is fantastic, the chicken and fish were incredibly flavorful and juicy. Both the rice and beans were so flavorful and the portions were giant. The plantains in the stewed beans were perfectly cooked and a perfect addition to the chicken and beans. We will be ordering from here again!!“
“If you've been looking for a reason to come back downtown, you have it! David Fhima , Eli Fhima and team have again knocked it out of the park. Phenomenal coffee and pastries. I can't wait to be down for wine soon too! SO great to have this in the Capella Tower!“
“Family owned company and it tastes amazing! Just like my grandma's cookies. It really tastes homemade and I crave these cookies. They have yummy gluten-free rice crispy with peanut butter/choc. topping bars. They have a nice variety. So good!“
“Found their Vienna bread at Morrelli's and it is amazing, honestly the best Vienna bread we have ever had. I can see this bread replacing our every day white loaf. Going back tomorrow for another loaf and I will be making a trip to the bakery soon .....Nummy!“
“Parking: plenty of street parking Service: delightful people who let you try all the flavors, seriously, don't be shy about it Food: flavors are so creative and cleverly named! My favorites were the Nicollet Pothole (chocolate and fudgey) and good old vanilla (rich flavor and perfect texture, with the occasional crunch of actual vanilla bean bursting in your mouth. Ambiance: call us crazy, but we sat outside in the patio in the snow, so seating was plentiful, haha!“
“Royal Grounds is a pretty cozy little coffee shop, nestled along Grand Ave in Uptown Minneapolis. The coffee is delicious, water is plentiful, and the snacks are too notch. I appreciate that the shop discourages tips in favor of a fair wage for all employees. The decor is also quite unique and fun, especially in the bathroom.“
“I cannot say enough about Pat and her team! She was amazing to work with! I would give them 10 stars if I could! I asked for a large, short notice order for a client of mine in the twin cities! She delivered BIG time and the cookie were DELICIOUS!!!!! Recommend 100% regardless of where you are located!! SHE SHIPS!!!“
“Cool place, good vibes, okay service. Living in the North Loop I have the luxury of having amazing cafes to benchmark them against. Food was great, don’t get me wrong. But prices are extremely high compared to higher caliber food in the North Loop. $5.75 for just a croissant? $15 for a croissant with prosciutto and cheese? You can get the best ham and cheese croissant in the city at Bellecor in the north loop for $6 and the best breakfast sandwich in the state for $15 there as well. Don’t want to distract from how great our food was here, but won’t be back given the value. We spent over $50 for a breakfast sandwich, slice of banana bread, a prosciutto croissant, an Americano and a chai tea latte… that’s a lot. Saw a couple come in, look at the menu and then turn around and walk a block down to Turtle Bread instead.“
“HUGE authentic tamales. Probably the best tamales I have had in a long time and the very best I have had in the Midwest. I am a native Texan and truck driver, I deliver in Minnesota twice a week and i know something about good Mexican food. Also they are very courteous and the place smells fan freaking tastic. This place is a gem.“
“Bordertown Coffee in Minneapolis is a haven for coffee connoisseurs. The extensive menu boasts classic coffee choices, along with an array of tempting teas and tea lattes. My latte experience was nothing short of exceptional—the milk was perfectly prepared, consistently creamy, and adorned with the perfect amount of foam. What sets Bordertown apart is its unique location inside an old house. The ambiance is a delightful blend of history and modern comfort, with inviting tables, plush couches, and tucked-away study nooks. The attention to detail in decor creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall enjoyment of your visit. Bordertown Coffee is not just a coffee shop; it's a destination where every sip and surroundings contribute to a memorable experience. Highly recommended for those seeking both quality beverages and a charming environment.“
“I am so fortunate to have stumbled upon this gem while in search of a French style patisserie. There are other businesses that claim to be patisseries, but this is the real deal. The location is easy to get to, even for someone who doesn't live in Minneapolis. The parking is easy, and the neighborhood feels safe. We loved the almost dark academia ambience that is inside - warm lighting, dark interior. It creates a cozy feel and makes you feel sophisticated, even if you're just trying to satisfy the Saturday morning sweet tooth like we were. Ordering was easy, and the lady gathering our items was very friendly and explained things well. We ordered a vanilla St. Honoré, pain au chocolat, croissants, and an Elise (yes, I'm saying it in a French accent to feel more fancy). The viennoiserie are baked Euro-style, meaning a bit darker than what you'd find in a regular American bakery. The many flaky layers could be seen, and there's a delightful crunch when you take a bite. The sweetness of the Elise was "just enough." We enjoyed everything except for the iced mochas. Those weren't quite as chocolatey or sweet as we're used to. If we could improve anything, it would be to give an option to have something warmed, like the pain au chocolat. It's a little spendy, but you're getting real croissants- not Costco croissants. Will definitely be coming back.“
“We had breakfast here and thought it was good, but could have been a little better. My wife really liked her chilaquiles, but thought it could have used some eggs, more chicken (she had to search to find it) and maybe a few chips on the side so there could be more crunch. I had the mushroom cemitas sandwich and really enjoyed it. There was a good heat to the sandwich and it was very filling. I also had the spicy hot chocolate which was very rich and tasty. The service could have been a little better as we saw our order get finished and had to ask the server if we were supposed to pick it up ourselves after five minutes of waiting, and then he brought it to us.“
“Quaint...community coffee spot. Trying the Stirato roll with maple almond butter...They also gave a Potato roll too. Chai is on the sweeter side with just enough hint of spice. Service is warm and space has a good vibe....Current Playlist is a whole vibe.“
“Food was excellent. Great omelet with fresh ingredients. Enjoyed the warmth on a frigid Minnesota Sunday morning. Overall a nice coffee shop and great breakfast spot. Biggest kitchen with Tina of flour. This place produces a lot of baked goods. “
“I am so happy to have found Atuvava! Their cheddar biscuits are THE BEST. Great for making homemade breakfast sandwiches! Everything I have tried there I have loved. They even have some takeaway frozen options. Get there early if you can because stuff tends to sell quickly. Every staff member I have encountered has been genuinely friendly. This is an all around great place. ❤️Dietary restrictions: Exclusively gluten-free bakery!“
