Wow, I think I finally found what I’ve been searching for all my life in the Twin Cities. What? What? A rich and delicious chocolate cake. Seriously, I’ve been everywhere locally and no chocolate cake has won me over… until now. It’s moist, rich, and very chocolaty like how I like it. I have tried some of their other sweets too and have loved them all. This might be my new favorite bakery.
Located in the Capella Tower downtown, this is a cute little bakery that's open till mid afternoon. I stopped by there for lunch today. One of my coworkers had recommended it. The place is nice and clean. Good decor and comfortable seating. The person on the counter was very helpful with my questions. I got the Tuna Club, skipping the bacon and choosing kettle chips as my side. Added a bottled coke for my drink. The total was $18. Good experience in this very small bakery. Note for newcomers like myself: the actual bakery is on the 2nd floor, while the 1st floor is really like a smaller coffee kiosk. We got a delicious, decadent piece of chocolate cake from the upstairs one- very moist despite the fact that we came in near their closing time. Very friendly service and nice atmosphere (pleasant music, comfy chairs).
