“Stopped in for a late lunch on the patio. Was interested in a bitters & soda and the server recommended mixing the rhubarb and cardamom, which was delicious and refreshing. Followed that with the Chix Correa sandwich and a side salad. Wow! Really creative flavors and well-executed. Could tell everything was made from scratch and with high quality ingredients and care. Also the decor was fun and hip, the music top-notch, and the staff kind. I look forward to coming back soon!“

“This place is bustling on weekends, but there’s plenty of seating, and the staff is very professional, and she will not have to wait very long. Don’t come here for cheap eats, as most pastry prices are high but well worth it. Coffee was comparable price to other shops in the area. Only chrome is at the Turkish coffee. It was a little steep and I have had butter elsewhere. Also the interior design is pretty cool!“

“Really liked this coffeeshop. The staff are super friendly and the place is clean. I got the almond milk vanilla latte and the blackberry ricotta streusel pain suisse. They were SO delicious! ?
I had a question about the ingredients and one of the baristas went above and beyond to get a hold of the baker to make sure my question is answered.“

“This place is a local gem and worth a trip if you live in another part of town. Friendly staff, delicious food (all their baked goods are outstanding), and tasty coffee drinks. Try their donuts (Wednesday only), fried chicken sandwich (easily one of the best in town), and sourdough bread.
Places like Sun Street are why I love living in Minneapolis.“

“Great, delicious, organic, local, farm to table. Lovely vegetarian options
Vegetarian options: The Zen plate was great. Brown rice, kale, guacamole, sunflower seeds, picked tomatoes, hummus, turnip with harissa, cucumber with a vinaigrette. Delicious, fresh, healthy, fair trade. I love what you are doing and looking forward to eating breakfast there tomorrow.“

“Top notch coffee, snacks, and service. Really noisy and cold atmosphere. Not relaxing. Lots of folks on laptops. It's Linden Hills so parking is a mess.
Parking: Other businesses are close and highly residential so parking can be a pain.“

“Ate dinner here on recommendation of a friend. Great food, served fresh, hot and fast. Had the spaghetti and garlic toast special. Was delicious. Huge serving also. Hubby had the grilled ham and cheese and subbed onion rings for the chips. Another winner. Had strawberry rhubarb pie for dessert- was really good and hit the spot. Laura was our waitress, attentive and friendly. Will be back!“

“Stopped in a few days ago. I was on my way West on Larpenteur and saw this was just a few couple blocks off my course. I was wanting a Coffee and a small bite. Good Coffee and the Chocolate Cookie was awesome. Probably will swing by here again, sometime.“

“This is a very quaint establishment. The atmosphere is nice; the staff is GREAT -Emphasis added! I couldn’t go much beyond this character point so… KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!“
“This is an Ethiopian restaurant. There isn’t much English spoken here and there is no menu, but the staff and patrons are friendly. If you’re an adventurous eater, you might like it. The soup was delicious and the salad was fresh. I’m actually not sure what kind of meat was in my main dish. It was pretty good but a few of the bites were a little gamey tasting. The seasoning in the rice was good, and you get a generous portion, so you won’t leave hungry. The waiter rang me up for $17 which seemed a little high, but he hit “skip” on the tip screen, so I guess it was a fair price if you consider that the tip is “included”. If I go back I think I’ll just get two or three bowls of soup! ? Overall I’d give it 3.5 stars.
Kid-friendliness: You can bring kids here. They don’t serve alcohol.“

“Welcoming & a Vibe. This is a real gem, a diamond in the rough. There is no place quite like Cafetto. It is punk, it is cozy, it is filled with music but it’s peaceful at the same time. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and apt at making the perfect cup of joe or chai of choice. If you need a place to vibe, work, or have some fun (especially with the plethora of pinball machines in the basement), this is the place to be. I just wish there was a location in St. Cloud, but to me this place alone is worth the drive!“

“This is my favorite coffee shop in NE. Their iced chai with coconut is perfect and this morning I tried the breakfast burrito and was in love! Such fresh, tasty, made with love ingredients :) I no longer live in NE but make a point to stop every time I’m in town!“

“Ok fair bias, I live up the block. But a la carte menu in the summer with amazing smoked paprika gazpacho. Meat is cooked on a separate grill so your vegan guests and those with religious restriction are accomodated. A NUT-BASED burger crowns the ever-changing menu (new bistro options). Fair wages so the pricing reflects that. I just ate mussels in broth with a nice chardonnay, and now I'm second course a gazpacho with a thyme gimlet. Sit at the bar to watch the tender spin records and serve you personally, otherwise, order at the counter and wait for that chef magic. Again a la carte. So order your pomme frit AND the mussels.“

“Went for breakfast on a Sunday because we just happened to be over here. The food was great, the service was quick and kind despite being in the heart of a Sunday rush. There’s local artists’ art on the wall, some of it for sale. I like that they have both turkey and pork bacon and gravy. We will definitely be back!“

“It's open again as of June 2024! I had their bison melt with blueberry horseradish aioli and it was very good. I've tasted their appetizers, salads, and desserts at a catered event, and those were very fresh, tasty, and innovative as well. Highly recommend. The building had their grand opening on May 1st so the restaurant is in a new remodeled space.
Parking: Parking lot onsite.
Wheelchair accessibility: Building newly remodeled so it meets current ADA accessibility requirements.“
“Walking distance from Augsburg U, friendly service. When asked what I was eating (I decided to get what a customer got before me), cashier took time tell me about malawah...sweet Somali pancake (warm, sweet delicious!). Coffee nice and strong!“

“Love the Che drinks, but my new favorite is the halo halo with ube ice cream! The ube ice cream is so creamy and flavorful and it goes so well with all the fruits/jellies. I also had the pandan waffle and really love how crunchy the outside is but soft and mochi like in the middle.“

“This is a great place. The owners are cool and fun to talk to. The baked goods are very high quality and affordable. A lot of other bakeries have stuff that tastes like bland butter mixed with sugar but this place has very good flavor. Not too sweet, high quality ingredients. They also sell food such as sambusas, ful and tibbs which are fresh and tasty! The coffee is good too“

“Our company had a last minute breakfast this morning we needed catered, and found out 2days before (Wednesday night) the caterer we usually use couldn’t accommodate us. I called Ryan’s Cafe as soon as they opened Thursday morning and Ryan answered. I asked if there was any possible way he could cater breakfast for 57 the next morning by 7 am. He was in the middle of preparing for another event he was catering that day, but was gracious enough to ask questions, offer options and take down my information. He even made suggestions on which items to cut back on so I wasn’t overspending. He had the quote back to me in less than 30 minutes.Anthony, one of Ryan’s employees, arrived the next morning at 6:50 am with the food and had it all ready to serve by 7 am! The presentation was fantastic and the food even better! We had a variety of breakfast burritos and sandwiches (sausage, bacon, ham and a vegetarian option), hash browns, fresh fruit, pastries and all the condiments including butter, cream cheese, hot sauce, etc. Anthony was very helpful and gracious too!Everyone raved about how delicious and fresh the food was, and the generous quantities! And the bonus…the price was very competitive!I can’t say enough good things about Ryan, Anthony and Ryan’s Cafe! We’ll definitely have them cater for us at future events and look forward to the next one! Thank you Ryan, Anthony and Ryan’s Cafe for making our event such a success!“

“Sew Caf has a punk atmosphere some people may not be able to appreciate (think portlandia), but they are a beloved institution I used to live right across the street from. Service can be gruff, and food may sometimes take a little while, good food sometimes does. It is all part of the unique charm, this is not a place people come to rush in and out, but to enjoy the moment.
My wife and I always ordered the super red green earth. I have not been back inside since the reopen, but have passed by and heard some exciting music spilling out of it, and trust it has stayed true to its roots. My old band found it to be a delightful venue. I have many fond memories here, and know people who grew up going to Seward that feel the same.
I hope to stop in soon, and find it the same as it was. Great patio area, and they may still have a a spot where folks can donate and procure clothing free of charge. A beautiful place.“

“This was easily one of best restaurant meals I've had in the last year, maybe ever. I had hulbat marakh, and the owner brought out sambusas (on the house!) for us to share. I have enough leftovers for 1-2 more meals, after eating my fill. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back!“
