“Food was excellent. My wife and I had an appetizer, which was very crunchy but light. I had the combo, which could have served both of us combined. Nice flavors and option for the amount of heat was appreciated. We did have a problem getting our bill, as our server either went on break or was doing other things and left us for 45 minutes. It was still very pleasant and my bet would be our check issue was uncommon. I do recommend!“

“Came to Char Bar for the first time for happy hour on Saturday with Kim T. Char Bar is a speakeasy on the inside of Butcher & Boar (through the glass doors). We arrived around 4:45 pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too crazy busy, we were one of a handful of tables. The hour menu was pretty good! A good amount of food and drink items ranging between $6-10. I had the Chicken Sammy ($10), Kim had an Arby's style 3 Way Beef & Cheese sando ($17), and we split the Curly Fries ($6). I also ordered two of the non happy hour burgers to go ($8/each). I really liked my sandwich a lot, chicken was perfectly crispy, the slaw was savory and sweet, Polynesian vibes. I would absolutely get it again! Kim liked her sandwich but she said the sauce was too much and soaked the bottom of the bun, the curly fries were fine. I had a dragon tattoo cocktail, serenity pineapple rum cocktail, and a frozen rum & cherry coke slushy. Drinks were boozy but pricey! Loved the menu showing the drinks very cute and visibly pleasing. Update: Butcher Burger ($8) was sensational! It's no Parlour Bar burger but it's sooo good, tasted gourmet and traveled well. Fun fact: the restaurant group over Parlour Bar also owns Char Bar! I liked the pickled onions and the chipotle mayo cheese sauce, good solid burger for a good price!“

“I'm from NJ, so I know what good NY style pizza is.I gotta say, there are places here in the Twin Cities metro that sell good, tasty pizza..but it's not necessarily true NY style pizza in terms of flavor, texture, thin light foldable crust. But Ginelli's ticks all the boxes. For me and my money THE BEST NYC style pizza in TCM is hands down Slice of NY on Nicollette.But.... Ginelli's is for darn sure a tight second. This is phenomenal pizza.“

Great atmosphere, pizza was great, crispy thin crust, just the right amount of toppings, true artisan pizza. We had several pies. I had pepperoni and kalamata olives, a white pizza, wife had anchovies (yuck), a sausage (homemade by the owner). As we waited I watched the owner make each pizza with great care. Will definitely go back next time I'm in town.“

“I've been a loyal customer at Smack Shack for years, and I can't believe I haven't left a review until now. This place deserves a solid five stars, not only for being an exceptional restaurant but also for making me feel like part of their family. The food at Smack Shack is absolutely phenomenal, especially their cheesecake, which I believe is the best in the state, if not the world. The customer service is top-notch, with everyone being incredibly kind and friendly. The cooks at Smack Shack are truly phenomenal, and I believe they have the best chef in town. I've celebrated my birthday there every year since I just turned 44, and it's always been a memorable experience. Even my grandson loves it there, as they are kid-friendly and even have a beautiful patio where you can bring your fur babies.I must also mention the amazing happy hour they offer. “I just had this food last weekend. So yummy. I had the Pad Thai and Green curry. I have not been able to find good Thai in Minneapolis since moving here but my son convinced me to try. I had given up. So good and a block or two away, I can walk. Also had a glass of red wine, perfectly lovely so if you want a little booze, they have it. Had a crispy shrimp appetizer son ordered, also. Portions not huge but big and enough for a couple meals from Gr curry and Pad Thai. I wanted to take leftovers home, hence two meals. So good. Caprese

“My closest lunch option, this is my go-to about twice per week. I love the consistency of the salads. Their salad prep personnel are quite skilled. I've never had a bad bite of food. Excellent, quick service, every time. The Baker Center location often has a line out the door of their little shop, yet it never takes more than a few minutes to get through the queue. The seating area is always clean, if a bit cold and sterile, and seating is always available, what with everyone taking their salads to-go. One can also pre-order before 11 am online and skip the line. As to the salads, any of the Caesars are recommended, be it Classic, Buffalo Chicken or Buffalo Shrimp. (Kudos the Kale, Caesar! as a dad-joke variation.) Due to the proteins, the latter two are in the $13 - $15 range, but they pack a lot in the bowl. I have also enjoyed the Cowboy, the Farmer, the Caprese and once in a while mix in the Chinese Chicken. Wrap options are available, as well, as well as soup and chili, which I have eschewed. All in, this is about as good as assembly line food gets in Mpls. 3 or 4 other locations are scattered in the skyways. You'd have difficulty finding a better, faster lunch option than Green + the Grain.“

“I was reminded of this today, so I wanted to note that maybe 6-12 months ago, I ordered delivery from this location via a secondary delivery service and the driver brought completely the wrong order. I called the location to see if they could correct the issue with the driver and the manager - who had actually already realized the issue - told me to keep the food that had been accidentally delivered and then drove me my remade order herself.
