“Nice to see you still in business all these decades later! I still remember working for your bakery on Opening Day and a line out the door, as your pastries deserved! Hope all is well with the lovely French chefs and family who started this place. Wishing you the best! Was so happy to see the Feuilletine Praline cake recipe still being made, my favorite treat from this spot.“
“We got two meals, chicken chipotle avocado melt and a grilled cheese. We weren’t asked if we wanted chips but got them anyways. The chicken chipotle avocado melt was outstanding. Sadly, the grilled cheese wasn’t good, nor was one bag of chips. The bad bag of chips was rancid and was inedible. Service through the drive through was excellent.Vegetarian options: They definitely have tasty vegetarian options that are easily found. If not ask, they are good at accommodating requests.Dietary restrictions: They typically label items and do attempt to make changes to your meal if requested.“
“First time going and I received the wrong sandwich. I asked twice what it was but I couldn’t remember everything in the sandwich I actually ordered so it’s on me for not getting the correct one. All in all, food was good and so was the coffee. Fast service, good food, and friendly faces made the experience worth going back again!“
“The BEST SOUFFLÉ in Twin Cities - handsdown!!Super cute vibes, more feminie!Perfect for dates and especially around the Valentine time.Their soufflés are like clouds - both savory and sweet. A must try is their Soufflé Benedict, the hollandaise sauce on top is OMG - heaven!Ambience is so cozy. The drinks menu has a variety too, you must try the Fruit milk. We got the strawberry one along with Rosegold Honey Latte.“
“I went to Cream and Amber for the first time this weekend and I was impressed the reviews did not oversell the experience.A friend recommended I check out this cute reading café, so I gave it a shot. What I found was a lovely space with an even more welcoming staff. It was clear the people running the show are the same people who could want to spend their time there. It is a cozy space with appropriately lively energy - many familiar greetings and warm conversations to provide a comfortable background for reading. ♥“
“I love it. I love it. I love it!!!! ❤️ I like and love everything about this place. I met the nicest gentleman when picking up a birthday ? cake that I had, especially made for an associate of mine for the 64th birthday, and the cake ? was so moist and delicious that the icing OMG ?. I will most definitely be back to order more cakes for more functions. This is the greatest bakery in the whole entire Minnesota..“
“I had the yucca frita, which was really good. I want to come back again and try their mojarra frita and their quesabirrias. Their interior has been remodeled and is very nice, with pretty paintings on the walls. I didn't take a picture today, but the interior photos that show up on Google Maps appear to be “
“My new home away from home! This cafe is so warm and welcoming, the atmosphere here is a true vibe. Hafsa gave me and my friend a great tour of the event center and kids playroom “which is a major plus for us mothers”. My food and chai tea were amazing. It’s a good vibe for the Islamic community or anyone else looking for a nice chill spot“
“I loved my Dolche de Leche latte! It was sweet enough without being over powering. I liked the banana bread loaf as well. Street parking was easy to find too! My only complaint is that it gets super busy and has limited seating. I came to sit and visit with a friend and we waited for seating and it was fairly loud. Once it calmed down, it was the perfect environment to visit. I also found the staff very kind and calm despite it being so busy! I would visit again any time!Parking: There is a hill on the side of the coffee shop where it seems the majority of people parked. The neighborhood also has a lot of space to park. Parking on Penn is limited due to a large 30 min parking area, but I found this to be the best parking.“
“The building and decor are beautiful. The cashier was very nice. I would recommend the tomato soup and focaccia. My sandwich was ok cold sandwiches are not my favorite. I also got a delicious tiramisu I think they should come out with some warm ones. A little pricey but overall a good experience.Vegetarian options: They have a couple of vegetarian options but not very many vegan ones.“
“I love Arabic food and wanted to support a Palestinian owned restaurant. I did takeout for my family of falafel, hummus, steak shawarma, and baklava. Everything was delicious— haven’t had food this good in a long time. We will be back soon!“
“Vanilla latte was beautiful but wasn't sweet enough for my garbage palate. The sourdough pancakes were good and served with real maple syrup. The mushroom biscuits and gravy had an interesting type of mushroom, but the gravy tasted very floury.I would return to try the toast flight, and maybe a biscuit sandwich.“
“My boyfriend and I decided to check out a new coffee shop, and we came across Cuppa Java on Google Maps. When we first entered the building, I immediately loved the vibe, and there are many cozy corners with plenty of outfits to get some work done. The employees were extremely friendly, and I ordered and ate one of the best bagels I've ever had. There is a gender neutral bathroom with ADA accessibility which I highly appreciated.I will definitely be coming back!“
“Not being from the area, this place sure wowed us! So good!! It's such an adorable local cafe with amazing food and homemade pickles! The vibes are very quiet and the lights are dim, and there are a lot of people vibing on laptops due to the relaxing environment. Highly recommend! Loved the tea and latte we got.Parking: Paid for parking 2$ an hour up to 4 hours“
“Dan the owner is Dan the man.Personally place key West in my top 5 coffee spots in Minneapolis, and second for sandwiches only beaten out by my nostalgic love for caffreys sandwiches.Great place to stop if you are nearby and need food or coffee. Definitely also would recommend going out of the way to stop in as well.“
“The food was genuinely amazing, best cafe/Diner hashbrowns I've had in YEARS! and the server Mai was extremely polite and pleasant to interact with. Most meals are close to 15$ which might seem slightly pricey but it's genuinely worthit for the quality of the food. The coffe while simple is delicious as well, if you get some 100% get their reccomended house made French vanilla cream with it, it gives it a dulcé de leché flavor and is a 10/10 on flavor.“
“Had such a great visit here today! We were able to visit with the kitties without a reservation on a Tuesday morning. The kitties seemed happy and healthy and the environment was clean and seemed well cared for. There were so many lovely cats and it was fun to spend time with them. One climbed into my lap to snuggle for a bit wich I loved. The staff was super friendly and one of the kitties literally jumped into the staff members arms for a cuddle during the hour change over wich I thought was adorable. Obviously the staff here care very much for the cats and the cats love them back.Coffee was delicious as well. Will definitely be back ?“
“Hidden neighborhood gem! I only rated it a four because parking is difficult. The food is great and the staff is welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Prices are fair and portions are generous.Deciding what to order was difficult. So many great choices. My boyfriend chose the biscuits and gravy (his usual for breakfast) and said it was the best he’s had. The sausage had a little bite (spicy) but it was perfect.I opted for blueberry pancakes, which were delicious! The three pancakes were bigger than the dinner plate—I had leftovers! We will definitely return.“
“OMG, everything about this place speaks quality. This place is clean, and has a great atmosphere. When our food came, all that was heard from my wife & I was compliments & noises of satisfaction. It was one of the tastiest meals we have had in a long time. They really know how to season their food, it was AMAZING!!!It was so good, we ordered a duplicate order to take home, so our family could try it. We had the chicken soup & chicken cranberry wraps.Dietary restrictions: They use grass fed beef, organic chicken, dairy free, gluten free. Exceptional place & they will work with you to find food to fit your restrictions.“
“The last two words "Coffee gallery" perfectly describes the coffee shop! It's cool seeing the different kinds of art work, also two huge plusses are there's plenty of tables and there's a parking lot!! For the amount of people that were there it wasn't super loud either! Will for sure be coming back again!“
“Nate is the coolest person ever! Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Try their strawberry flavor drinks it's pretty darn good or their weekly specials. Definitely a gem spot and so glad to come here when I'm in Minneapolis. Super healthy and quick! Love seeing this in the community!“
“This place is truly the only food spot in Minneapolis I crave regularly. I only took 1 star away because 100% of the time I've sat in, they forget my bakery item and then are sold out and can't offer me anything. However, the sesame croissant is to die for so I always take my chances or at least order at the register.“
“This is such a cute cafe with amazing food! Counter service with self serve water. The staff was very friendly and speedy with my food. I highly recommend the pork. It was soo tender it just fell apart. The seasoning was subtle with just the right amount of saltiness. The rice and beans were bland but were a good carb to soak up the juiciness of the pork. The sweet plantains were perfect in every way. They had beautifully crunchy bottoms from being fried. The arepa con queso was good. There is a sweetness with the butter and maybe in the corn masa itself. Its very dense and rich, i would recommend splitting with a friend if possible.“
“Haven't been there in a while but I'm so glad to see they are still there. Great coffee, service(quick and efficient) and the atmosphere is THE best I've ever experienced in a coffee house. The staff is friendly and so are the customers. Outside seating is great. I love that there are spaces, on the street, reserved for motorcycles. Prices, for a coffee house of this caliber, are inexpensive. I used to live in the neighborhood and Bob's became my go to. Thank you.“
“We stopped here for coffee on a quiet morning and had the opportunity to have a really great conversation with the barista, Katie. They also then made us genuinely the best lattes we've both ever had. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good coffee and good vibes.“
“We had a cinnamon pull-apart, a white lightning, and a seasonal gingerbread latte. The white lightning looked nothing like the advertised pictures and also had no vanilla flavor. The espresso tasted burnt and it was overall an unenjoyable beverage. The gingerbread latte had no recognizable gingerbread flavor but instead tasted like a standard latte with a dash of cinnamon. The espresso tasted far better in this drink but it was still underwhelming. We enjoyed the cinnamon pull-part most out of what we ordered, however, it was still quite dry.The service was friendly and quick and the atmosphere was lively with excellent decor.“
“Love my little neighborhood coffee shop! The staff is always really sweet, they have an abundance of the BEST pastries and its always very cozy!Weekdays are perfect to come here and work. Weekends can be loud, so its a better spot to socialize with friends.“
“It's decent, and they have a pour over. I don't know that this is the best roaster in the city. The pour overs were all on the weak side, and the beans I bought ended up being a little rough. I like the place and the people there were nice. I don't know that they have their roasting dialed in, however.“
“It’s a 4 degree Fahrenheit day in Minnesota and there is no better way to spend the morning than visiting a coffee shop. I stumbled upon Up Cafe. What a treat! The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Background music adds to the great vibe here. This is one of the easier-to-get-to coffee shops in Minneapolis as it is near the hustle and bustle of the city but situated in a quiet neighborhood not far off the beaten path. They make a crave-worthy oat milk latte that I will come back for!Parking: This coffee shop has ample, no hassle street parking and a small attached lot.“
“A real treat any time you’re in Bloomington. The downsides are that it’s generally very busy and can be hard to find a seat, despite lots of room. Great variety of drinks and food options!Parking: Watch out for spots reserved for other businesses.“
“Vegetarian options: Non-dairy milk selection available for coffeeParking: 14 parking spots, street parking available, and the parking lot across the street has no current tenants attached to it so parking is currently available there as well“
“This place has the makings of a great coffee shop that has the atmosphere to bring in travelers and locals alike. The only thing missing from this place is OUTLETS. There are a minuscule amount with only a few spots allowing a charging port. Being that coffee shops have historically been correlated with working on personal computers, it has become quite expected that there is enough places to charge said devices.“
“Middle of the road coffee shop. Attached to art studios. One small seating area is pretty cozy but the rest are a little bland and don't have windows, but they are doing the best they can with the space they are in. Food is made on the spot and is better then you might expect. I go loaded breakfast burrito every time and love it. Staff is hit or miss, but they are never rude.“
“I went on a Sunday for brunch with a friend. The food is very yummy. I got the berry waffle and although there was only one waffle, it was huge. I love the berry to whip cream ratio. I also like the fact that they have you order at the counter and then they bring the food to you which makes the process easier and more efficient. I would recommend it if you’re in the area.Parking: Plenty of lot and street parking.“
“Super friendly staff and a nice overall atmosphere. Lots of tables to spread out and work. A whole back area as well, which features more space and a stage. There was an open mic the night I went, which was great! But also, if you wanted to work and not hear the performers, the whole front area was apart, and had a door that shut for quiet during working.“
“I ordered my food on DoorDash and when I arrived to pick it up there was a woman helping what looked to be a man with obvious mental issues. She was getting him a coffee. She was so kind and patient with him and the amount of care with him was amazing. When done he left and she apologized for my wait and said sometimes you just deserve a lil treat. She looked like she was ready to cry. She was such a seeet woman!!“
“You can get a delicious veggie burger or the same burger with a beef patty. We had the fries, brussel sprouts, french onion burger and the “philly cheese steak” made with mushrooms and it was ALL delicious! Owners were great and they even treated us to a pie for Pi day on 3/14!!! Great and unique wine list was also fun. Prices were great and tip was included!“
“I order for work from them and it is always delicious and timely. I love that we can get last minute catering that is both quality and priced modestly. The staff is so friendly and they communicate well.I would recommend them 100% to anyone!“
“The cake is airy and pleasant not sweet. Being unfamiliar with Scandinavian torte, I was unsure if it was meant to be dry. However, this torte was too dry for my liking; nevertheless, it would have been perfect with a moister texture. It features a delightful combination of chocolate and banana, complemented by a frosting that isn’t excessively sweet.“
“Sitting next to the iconic 1908 mansion (33 rooms) of the Turnblad family (Swan Turnblad managed Svenska Amerikanska Postern, which had the largest Swedish newspaper paid circulation) is the Nelson Center which includes Fika Cafe offering many Nordic delights. Plenty of free parking. Keep in mind Park Ave was the first paved street in Minneapolis & Turnblad owned the 1st electric car in Minnesota.“
“Food was excellent. Great omelet with fresh ingredients. Enjoyed the warmth on a frigid Minnesota Sunday morning. Overall a nice coffee shop and great breakfast spot. Biggest kitchen with Tina of flour. This place produces a lot of baked goods. “
“Drove 40 min to Jensen’s with my Dad who loves their stuffed french toast! Had great service from Brenda, made our visit well worth it !! She went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed everything, very attentive service, food did not disappoint! will be back ?“
“Old school hippy coffee shop with amazing pastries; small & cozy with shared tables, crowded on weekends. Mini pizzas, danishes, lasagnas, savory scones, Cuban stew…If they run out of what you wanted by the time you order, try something different because that will become your favorite thing. Good place to meet up with your vegan or gluten free friends. The long line moves quickly. No off street parking but has a bike rack in front. Their bread pudding and cinnamon rolls are meant to be shared with a friend or taken on a long hike so they can be enjoyed sitting under a shady oak contemplating your life’s purpose.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten free options“
“I absolutely love this coffee shop! The coffee is always top-notch, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. It’s the perfect spot to unwind or catch up with friends.”Parking: Free parking as wellKid-friendliness: My kids love Muhim's cafe“
“Cute, most of the plants are real.Good coffee/cookies, would eat again.Cold. As in the longer I sat there the more stiff I became. Granted I was by a window.Asked the barista what the wifi password was and she responded by aggressively pointing in a corner and [sighing] obnoxiously. Thank you for your incredible hospitality mam.“
“It’s been awhile since I visited Hard Times (City Pages was still around when I last went), and I realized I forgot to write a review, so here we are…Hard Times has a great vibe. Feels rooted in community and is unpretentious and radical. The food was pretty good, but the quality isn’t on par with Modern Times or Seward Cafe in my opinion. I appreciate the vegetarian/vegan options.“
“Munkabeans Coffeehouse in Hopkins has a warm, fresh, homemade feel. From the blueberry muffins cooling on the counter to the local artists’ work displayed on the walls, the coffee shop has a neighborhood vibe that is very inviting. My husband ordered a Cinnabon Latte coffee and shared a sip with me. It was so good, I ordered my own. I also purchased some of the available artwork for sale. ❤️“
“The Somali tea (kind of like sweet spiced chai) here is so good and affordable and their smoothies and sambusas are delicious. If they have any of the house made juices when you go in, you definitely don't want to miss out on them (especially the watermelon). Usually pretty quick service but sometimes it takes a while for someone to come to the counter when you first get in. TVs are loud and it's not too comfortable in there so I usually take it to go but overall great place.“
“One of my favorite local places to go! We recently moved back to Saint Paul after being in the west suburbs for a couple years and Yellowbird is by far my favorite part of being back over here! Customer service is always great, creative drinks, cozy atmosphere, what more could you ask for in a local coffee shop? ☕️“
“Amazing butter croissant and other pastries both sweet and savory. I lived in Hong Kong for four years and this bakery is very authentic to what you would get in HK! I go here when I'm missing Hong Kong. Great egg tart as well. Cute atmosphere.Parking: Free parking lot with many spaces.Kid-friendliness: I have brought my child here many times.“
