“Right as you walk in, you greeted by all the wonderous aromas of both sweet and savory freshly baked items. I had a very hard time deciding what I wanted. I had missed the information that it was a French Asian fusion bakery, but the signs were there. Red bean buns, instructions on how to use tongs and trays correctly, but the best part was the gentlemen at the counter. They were very welcoming and polite, told me to skip the tip screen (it's rude to tip in asian cultures) and then asked for my tongs with both hands. I was almost gitty with the opportunity to use my Japanese to thank him politely. He automatically responded back in Japanese and then took a step back and smiled wide as he noticed what happened. We had a small conversation and I finally sat down to eat my lunch with my daughter. My daughter and I cleaned our table and returned our trays and with a happy smile the gentlemen wish us a good day and to see us soon. If you have never traveled to Japan, this café will only give you a glimpse, but still, it was a wonderfully surprising bonus to my day. I highly recommend a visit and to visit often!“

Fun choices for types of food you don't always see at other stores. Lots of local items. This is my families Perkins of choice passing by two others much closer Perkins just to go to the Maple Grove location. Our server Taylor was attentive, polite and very in tune to our groups needs. She is and example of what a waitress or waiter should be. The food was great and the building / bathroom cleanliness was expletory. My hats off to the manager and staff of the Maple Grove Perkins just south of 694 on Hemlock Lane.“

I needed a dessert for a Mexican themed birthday party for 16 people and she recommended the Tres Leche cake. I picked it up the next day before the party and it was the hit of the party!!! “Baguettes are among my favorites Kouign Aman was something comparable to a honey bun with a way to hard candy shell. Living in Normandy I will say “kouign aman is a labor of love. It can be great or not good, no in between!! Being here I was really missing it. I’ve tried many here in MN and one place has totally blown my mind but the hours are so up and down. For some reason their gift cards were not working online, so we went in the store to pick up and they were not working in store either.

We needed to pick up the cookies to deliver to our daughter for her birthday for her soccer team.

The manager on duty, let us take the cookies and trusted that I had the correct amount on the gift card.
