“We had a reservation for 7 - in the notes I specified 6 adults and a high chair. I could see our table had 7 adult seating's so I had to ask the hostess to fix that. Also specified we were there for a birthday celebration, again those notes must not make their way to the actual restaurant or they don't read them. When we checked in (we were 14 minutes early) for our reservation we were told we couldn't be seated until our actual reservation time. The restaurant had plenty of help and we didn't have our complete party with us which they knew and we were not expecting to order right away rather we just wanted to sit and relax. “I have been eating at this restaurant since 1989 it is unfailing great every time I stop in. It almost doesnt matter what you get, it will be fresh, delicious and fairly priced. That said of particular note are three items that in my opinion must be tried as they are the best example of the item within hundreds of miles. The first is the Schezuan Wontons, absolutely perfect balance of flavors and a great way to whet your appetite. Second the garlic string beans, I have tried for twenty plus years to replicate these now that I live sixty five miles away and I'm getting close but still haven't quite got it down. Again the balance of salt and umami flavor makes my heart pitter patter and no other place in the cities even comes close. Third is the peanut noodles which can come hot or cold and are a perfect appetizer to the honey walnut shrimp. Come to think of it that is the fourth dish no one else comes close to. Corn starch dusted shrimp deep fried and tossed in a sweetened condensed milk sauce with orange zest and toasted carmelized walnuts is rich and decadent.
I'm bummed the Vietnamese coffee has been dropped from the menu but given it appears food regulations have killed the traditional way it was served everywhere in the cities maybe that is a good thing because the places that still have it don't make it the way they used to and it isn't as good now.“

“We really like their food. We lived by them in the 90's and always ordered it. We don't like any of the Chinese places out by us in Lakeville so we tried Do Hos again about a year ago and get it from there whenever we want Chinese. Very good. And the people that work there are great.“

“I just witnessed an amazing customer service experience while I waited to pick up my daughter from work. Amy walked a customer (very slowly and carefully), along with his order to his truck, which was waiting in the handicap parking spot outside of the restaurant. She placed the food on the passenger side. They chatted a couple minutes and then she helped him into his truck. I had to go into the restaurant to thank her for her kindness. I will be a regular customer from now on. Faith in humanity restored!!“

“Great atmosphere and friendly workers. We were the only ones there at the time so we had free rein. Options were great. We got all you can eat hot pot which came with sushi too. My daughter didn't know how to eat the crawfish or shrimp and the worker came over to show her. Absolutely awesome of them. Totally weird but the toilet paper was so nice. Anyways, it's nice place to go.“

“This place recently went through some big changes. It’s an actual restaurant now with good seating. Pho has always been 10/10 here though. Definitely the best true Vietnamese spot in south Minneapolis. Everything on the menu tastes good. Can’t go wrong. Try something new.“

We come here often and even visited for Christmas dinner last year — our experience is consistently exceptional.

Right off the bat this place is CLEAN. Floors, tables, everything is really tidy and sanitary.
You'll be brought a pot complimentary jasmine tea right away which is heavenly. Truly the best jasmine tea I've had; not even remotely bitter tasting like other green teas. They must brew it very carefully.

The service is always speedy too, regardless of how busy it is, every time we are surprised by how quickly our fresh food is ready! They’re efficient in the kitchen.

Our favorite thing on the menu is the Garlic Fried Sole fish! It melts in your mouth and the portion size is massive so it's a perfect entree to split.

The Asia Mall is fun to check out before or after dinner; we like to walk around the market afterward and take home some milk teas and candy. Parking is easy with the lot out front.

This really is a great destination; ever since Pagoda moved to Roseville we’d been missing our favorite Cantonese dishes and HomeTaste is easily the best Cantonese / Chinese food in the western part of the twin cities.“

“This is a strictly take out/ delivery place so there is no dine in option. The storefront is purely functional and serves as semi storage for restaurant materials. That said, the food is good. I had a bad experience here maybe 12 years ago but it has clearly changed ownership and chefs since then. The food here is SOLID for that nostalgic American Chinese food! The hot and sour soup is epitome of what it should be (I was raised in my parents’ Chinese restaurants so I know) and the fried wing appetizers are terrific. My kids are obsessed. We also always get General Tso’s Chicken which every kid loves. I’ve also enjoyed Singapore noodles and Indonesian fried chicken ice here. Super glad to have a decent Chinese takeout in my neighborhood!“

A Chin Dynasty (2 half-entrees with rice) or an Imperial Plate (1 half-entree and 1 half-appetizer with rice) will usually result with leftovers for me. The Peking Chicken is a fan favorite. “A great place for Vietnamese cuisine. They have good broken rice platter with excellent grilled pork (it is lemongrass marinated). Their Bo Luc Lac is also good usually, except today when it is somewhat less marinated or something. The best thing here that my son likes is the crispy noodle, it was similar to the styles of Noodle World in California but this one is actually better IMHO.“

We live 35 minutes south of Mpls and this is the only Chinese takeout my family will have cuz they’re that GOOD!!!
Fresh, Real Chix breast chunks and a delicious sauce combined to make the most consistent dish we’ve ever had.
Will continue to enjoy when coming to the cities.

“Saigon Pho Tempo is my go-to for all my pho needs! Their pho broth is rich with deep flavor, and it’s always consistent, which I really appreciate. I always know that my pho will be amazing every single time I order it, and it also travels extremely well when I take it home to enjoy! They also make a Thai tea that is absolutely insane. They brew the tea themselves, not the powder, and you can taste the difference. It’s my “at least once a week” meal that I enjoy, and it’s my comfort food I just love. You would be doing yourself a huge favor to come and see what all the talk is about!“
