What was really exceptional recently was when our delivery driver had clearly eaten one of the burgers out of our order (this was clear from his messages after the fact, lol), the woman we spoke with on the phone at Convention Grill was so kind and helpful that we ended up getting dinner here again a week later.
I also came with my dad recently and I appreciated that they let us hang out for a couple hours without rushing us to order or rushing us out.

Rather expensive. Good burgers, horrible French fries, mediocre service. When I asked the female manager about our horrible fries, she laughed and said that is how they are. Sad to say, I doubt we will be back.

Meh. Decent food, not really seasoned though. Bun was good, burger was alright. Chili was way too expensive. Same with fries. Fries were darker skin-on, cooked too much fries. Everything was ala cart, so not so inexpensive. There are a lot of other places to spend that amount on a burger and fires and get something better. The atmosphere was kind of fun, but mainly an older crowd. The parking lot is a jacked up situation and no one really knows what's going on.
Great place to go for a burger, fries and a malt! Traditional malt shop atmosphere. Very clean and neat.

I love this place but there's some new weird parking situation. There's qr codes all over to pay for parking in the lot but the website refused to load and I'm not downloading yet ANOTHER app to park in the metro area (i have 4 already!) The signs said you could get validated as a convention grill customer but with the website not working, I'm not taking the chance at getting towed and/or a ticket just for a burger. It's a shame.

I was at the convention Grill this past Monday, July 28 2025 At lunchtime and was disappointed. First, this is the first time Iâve been there since the Parking changed and I asked the Host about it and she basically ignored me. The waitress was a was a bit more Helpful, but when I want to use the app, it wouldnât let me finish the transaction.Did I need a Passcode or something? Also, the hostess asked if I wanted to sit at the counter and only grudgingly gave me a table When I said no and Was sour for the rest of my visit. The server was good and she was friendly.
I have two complaints about the meal. First, you used to have cherry Coke with actual cherry flavor and and I was Told that you didnât have this anymore because you couldnât get the cherry flavoring. This seems like a lame excuse as this was a differentiating point for me. Second, The quality of The fries seems to have gone downhill. They were very short like they were the bottom of a batch And it seems like they were cooked twice because they were very dark and oily. You used to have some of the best fries around, I have been back there since you reopened a few times and this been a consistent problem To be fair to the staff, you only had one hostess And one server for a full crowd, and they seem to be able to keep up with the orders and keeping the place clean. Iâm sure I will be back but Iâm hoping for better results next time. Thanks. A longtime loyal guest
First time here. Make sure you know or take a picture of your license plate number. They need it to confirm your parking if you park in the parking lot.
Came at 2pm. Wasn't busy, only 2 other tables were occupied. Service was a little slow considering wasn't busy. But staff was eating their lunch it seemed at this time. Staff dressed in white nurse outfits.
Food was definitely worth the wait though. Got large oreo malt. Which filled up the cup twice. Careful when you pour, it can come out really fast. Mushroom and Swiss was decent. Meat was a little dry, and didnt have much flavor, but a little salt and mayo helped.
Fries were definitely amazing. I normally don't like fries but these were pretty well cooked.
Recommend trying this place out. đ

The Convention Grill has sadly lost its mojo. What was once an iconic restaurant with excellent burgers, malts and fresh hot fries is no longer. The burgers are bland and frozen, not fresh. They have no flavor whatsoever. We wonât be back, but we will miss what it used to be.

This has been on my âto eat atâ spots to do list for awhile now. The place is cute and nostalgic yet leaves a lot to be desired with the food. My grilled cheese was rubbery and not very good at all. The burger was a normal diner burger with little taste. I thought the fries were good yet all of them were tiny in the big costly basket. Our server was kind and the manager seemed on top of things. Over all it wasnât horrible but I canât say that I would make it a stop again when Iâm in the area.
