We were visiting from St Louis & stopped in one afternoon for a drink & guacamole. The guac is homemade; SO delicious & with homemade chips! We decided to return the next day for lunch. This time we had the tacos. Again, plentiful meat with the most delicious tasteful toppings. We were fortunate to have the same waiter, Tony. He’s definitely an asset to the restaurant. Very attentive & personable. Highly recommend this gem in St Paul!!
Love this place

I came in here today and was really disappointed with my experience. I got reconstructive knee surgery done about 5 days ago and my mobility is severely impacted. I am on crutches with a knee immobilizer. I just wanted to get out of the house and grab lunch. It was not busy at all in the restaurant. When we walked in and spoke with the hostess, I explained my accessibility needs and asked for a seat where I could elevate my leg. They sat us at a bench seat 2-top. In order to allow my leg to be elevated and not have my leg stick out in the aisle, I sat on the bench and we needed to move the table over and it ended up pressing into another empty four top. We explained this to our server and said that if they need to seat the four top, it would be good for them to push the four top over more so the other party had space. A few minutes later, the host came over to move the tables and stated “we need to use these tables” multiple times in a very rude tone. By the time we left, no tables had been sat next to us and the dining room was almost empty so the comments and the looks were very unnecessary and made us feel very unwelcome. When we finished our meals, my friend went to get the car and pick me up. Since there was not a handicap accessible door and no staff member offered to assist me with the door, I struggled to open two heavy sets of doors and jump through them before they hit my crutches. This staff needs to be trained in the importance of ADA adherence, as this could be a huge liability in the future. Otherwise, the food and service was good. But I would not recommend this place to anyone who needs handicap accommodations.
Wheelchair accessibility: No handicap accessible entrance. Staff not trained on accommodating to handicap needs.

Three of us went to this restaurant after my son got home last night. We ordered pork chops, short ribs, which were delicious as expected. I ordered octopus, which was the sole purpose I drove all the way there for dinner. We have been there 4 times. I was quite disappointed. The food was in a small plate as an appetizer size, the octopus was half of the usual size. I didn’t know what made the chef or owner do it that way. I had rated this restaurant 5 stars all the time. Last night’s experience made me lower the rating by 1 star. Still good enough, but it left a little sour taste.
Overall. The food is great. It's not fine dining, but very good food for the price. A few critiques... 1. The steak tacos need help...the steak was cut into giant pieces...and very undercooked. It definitely needed a marinate and seasoning. Pineapple was a nice touch of flavor but the chunks were so big I had to eat the entire taco with a fork. I do love their blue corn tortillas. Flavorful and soft. The shrimp tacos are just okay. Corn is cold and they just add sour cream. I'd prefer an aioli of some sort. The chicken tinga tacos had phenomenal flavor in the chicken. You could taste that they boiled the chicken in flavor. The pork tacos had a touch of cinnamon..which was a nice surprise..but more than 2 bites is overwhelming. The ceviche was very good. Only recommendation is to Dice the shrimp and tomatoes smaller. Killer flavor and beautiful presentation. The guac was great although pretty average set up. Nice touch of added spice. Chips are solid..they had enough salt and hold up well to dipping. The rib entree was delicious. Cooked perfectly with some burnt edges. The salas is a but tangy but goes well with the mole based sauce. The atmosphere is okay. A cool urban feel with some old school Spanish decor. City chic dress wear or cool jeans works. The chocolate flan dessert was my favorite thing on the menu. Very unexpected way of serving flan. Yummy chocolate cake bottom and flan top. The caramel tasted homemade and was light and not as sweet as you'd think. This was the ultimate Spanish desert.

Great take on Mexican cuisine, especially for a fancier night out.
Went here for MPLS restaurant week, and they did not disappoint. We went with chips to start. They have such a variety of salsas, there's one for everybody. Next were shrimp tacos which were surprisingly filling, and finally the beef ribs which were some of the best ribs I'd had. The meat was tender and juicy, and the seasoning and char was a great combination.
Good flavors, good spot!

We came here on Thursday, for the live music and yummy food. Joe Flip was playing his oil can guitar. His music is great to listen! He’s creative and so skilled at expressing an inviting vibe.
We ordered the Quesabirria, the Huevos Rancheros and a Pajarito Margarita.
Service was attentive and the food come quickly.

Pajarito is always good and delivers good tacos. overall it’s always difficult to get a taco that is both fairly priced and has good proportions and they always manage to balance it right. Always ask the taco of the day is they offer good options. We got the Carnitas and the arechera, we also got the birria tacos and they are quite heavy but delicious. The Way to go is to go with a few people so you can taste a lot of the menu. But also recommend getting the salsa, with the habanero sauce.
Overall, for the value, the price and the taste, I would always recommend

Cute place. Server was nice. The chips were great. We ordered an array of tacos….. we thought they were all bad. With all the restaurants out there I would not go to this place again. Disappointment.

We went last night for Restaurant Week. The food was amazing and such a good deal for 3 courses and large servings! The pork chops and short ribs were wonderful. The quesebirria tacos were outstanding - better than the ones from another famous restaurant. We had 5 people and got 4 tasting menus and had almost all of both main entrees to take home. Even my dad who is finicky said the food was really good.
