Very nice food and a classy interior. A little more expensive than I would get for an average night out, but great for date night or an anniversary. We did pick up and the hostess was very friendly and polite. Cool interior with white drapery from the ceiling and a cozy vibe. We got Udon and calamari and thought it was very tasty.

We haven’t been for awhile, but gave it another try. The lady serving us was very friendly and the prices were reasonable, but everything else was below average. The glasses were dirty and/or spotty, the food was ok, but could be fresher, and the wasabi used was of a very low quality (clumpy and neon green). Hopefully they can turn it around.

Meh. If you want sushi in the twin cities, there are SO MANY better places. The rolls were good (put enough sodium-laden sauce on anything and it tastes good) but the market price otoro sashimi was seriously disappointing - barely worth $5, not the $15 MP. The service was also painfully slow considering there were only two other tables at the time. Nothing was BAD per se, but I expected better given the previous reviews and general quality of food in this area.

My family loves this place including a picky kid. Love the variety of food that accommodates various diets, everything we have ordered has been great, quality, flavor and presentation. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Good location, atmosphere and reasonable prices for the area. Thank you Raku!

We were excited to check out Raku, however, the older lady at the front stared us up and down without even greeting us and did not make us feel welcomed at all. Also, when we left she was just talking to her friend on the phone. If you’re going to do that, you might as well go to the back or something. It makes your restaurant look lazy and that you don’t care about your job!

I don't eat sushi and this was def a sushi spot. My boyfriend liked his sushi. I did not enjoy my chicken entree. We started with edamame and it was delish!!! Very nice service

I love some Japanese food. The staff was very nice, as expected, and the food was good. But the glasses were sorted and smeared. Some plates had a film that nearly caused me to walk out. There were four other tables with 4-8 people. It's rather sad that such a prime location feels less than clean. I have a mind that allows me to look past a lot to test out different foods in many locations worldwide. The food itself was delicious, but due to the presentation, I cannot rate this higher, nor will we be back. I truly hope they clean up their act.

Went for an early family dinner on a Wednesday when it wasn't busy. The restaurant was clean and the service was very good. Was greeted right away, received attentive service the entire time and the water glasses were always full. The menu was fantastic with so many different Japanese options. It took awhile to figure out what to order due to the many different interesting options. We ordered the duck spring roll, two orders of ramen, seafood toban yaki and sushi. The family did not care much for their duck springs rolls so I finished them myself. They weren't bad, just not delicious. We felt the same way about the sushi and the toban yaki. They were average. The shrimp in the seafood toban yaki had definitely been frozen. It was cooked good but a couple of the pieces were freezer burned. The food was good enough to finish but not good enough to want to order again. The people who ordered the ramen were impressed and would get it again but mentioned it was missing a certain seasoning. With the large amount of lunch offerings, I'm assuming this is more of a lunch than dinner spot as no one was sitting at the bar during the traditional happy hour time. Giving this a 3 rating as nothing was spectacular or bad. Since the service was good, I may come back to try a lunch special but there are better dinner dining options in the area.

Came to Raku with some friends on a Wednesday evening for our quarterly sushi gathering and had a good time! Parking is easy with the nearby ramp. And there was a ton of availability inside! Food - 4/5 We ordered a ton of rolls and sushi to share. The food here is good. Pretty on par with other sushi spots in the metro. The menu is gigantic and rather daunting. Favorites were the Sassy Lady and the Hurricane. But honorable mention goes to the gyoza! Service - 5/5 Our server was kind and very attentive! Could be due to the restaurant being pretty empty. But food came out very quickly and water glasses were never empty, so no complaints here!

Amazing place to eat! I went with some coworkers who know sushi and they led me here! I tried the bigger $17 lunch deal with multiple fish options and rolls. It was all amazing. I felt full in a good way. I also realized I might eat wasabi in the white American way = ) Like with way too much on everything.... but hey I love the top front heat burn. I will be back again for another amazing lunch to try more things. I can say everything tastes amazingly fresh and the staff was great. Lots of places to sit and free parking. This is my new go-to spot for lunch with friends while at work.

Amazing Sushi! You have to try the Tuna Dumplings. Thin sliced tuna wrapping the most delicious crab center!

A pleasant surprise in Edina. Great service and a very impressive menu. The Surf and Turf is worth trying along with the shrimp tempura.
