This is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants and I'm so sad they'll be closing soon. We both had the steak frites and they were delicious. Our waitress was very kind and attentive.

One of the favorite restaurants an out-of-town guest wanted to revisit. Our food was good and we were definitely not made to feel that lingering over our lunch was a problem. I think there was only one waiter on duty and although not crowded, it was busy for just one wait person. We had an enjoyable lunch with good food and in an environment where we could hear the conversation at our table. I have come to really (REALLY) appreciate restaurants that are not excessively loud.

Love Salut! So sad it will be closing the end of the year. What a loss to the 50th/France neighborhood. I'll need to find another go-to for cozy, French atmosphere and food.

A really great establishment, highly recommend visiting before the shut down at the end of the year!

My favorite restaurant. Not for the food, but for the total package. When I leave, I always feel happy. Very sad you're closing. :-(

Spur of the moment dinner idea, very pleasant evening. Service was great. Matt(?) our server had good recommendations and answered all our questions. Food came hot and wonderfully prepared. No room for dessert but good reason to come back soon.

So sad to hear Salut is closing. It's been a mainstay in Edina for a long time. Great wine list and French / American menu - get there when you can!

Staff was super friendly, our server was very nice and accommodating. I don't recommend the baked brie, it was three or four slices of very thinly sliced brie, sitting in a dish filled with almost an oil like honey. Not worth $15. The half Caesar salad was a decent size, but not nearly enough dressing, it tasted very watery. The drinks were good, we got two of their mock tails. For entrées, I got the French dip. Unfortunately I do not recommend. There was little to no flavor in both the sandwich and a jus. Fries were good, just regular restaurant fries. We also got their crème brûlée and that was good. Overall, a pretty pricey place for not that great of food, but again the staff was incredibly friendly and our server was great. A good place to go for drinks and friendly staff.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities area. However, last night we were seated next to a table with a small baby who screamed loudly during our whole meal. The management did nothing about it. This was a Saturday evening dinner.

Absolutely loved our experience at Salut Bar Americain!

From the moment we walked in, everything felt warm and welcoming. The patio seating is absolutely adorable!!! Beautiful, cozy, and such a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. It’s the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to linger just a little longer.

Our server, Christian, was amazing! So attentive, kind, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. You can really tell he cares about creating a great experience for his guests.

The food was delicious, especially the French onion soup, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly done. My kids and I genuinely enjoyed every bite and had such a great time together. It’s one of those places that makes dining out feel special. Not just because of the food, but because of the memories you make while you’re there.

This always feels like a special place to eat. I do not want it to close forever when the lease is up at the end of the year. Servers clearly are trained well; Rebecca was attentive but not overly intrusive. She made good recommendations. I had never tried the buckwheat crepes before and may not have them again, but the flavor was good and I enjoyed my meal.

Our server had a bit of a communication challenge with us. Eventually, she figured out what we needed. One of our drinks was served late - most of the way through eating our entree. We had the hangar steak and walleye dinner. The walleye was excellent. The hangar steak was a very small portion and was nothing special. A cup of french onion soup was excellent. We appreciated being seated in a quiet corner, as requested on our reservation.
