Overall not very impressed. Tried the special that was running for the night and it was dry and overall lacking. Price points do not match the flavor or value of the items offered. Service was not very quick, we consistently felt like we had to think a few steps ahead with each request in order to make sure we weren't waiting. Not somewhere we would seek out again.

Not a huge fan of ordering all at once and the kitchen just sends out food as it's ready. Great that it's not sitting in the window getting old, but why should I let my food get cold waiting for someone else's food to show up so we can eat together? That being said, the food was excellent! The Bo Ssam taco was one of the best things I've ever had. Good Valentine's dinner, we will be back.

The food is really just so-so. Two out of four of our entrees were so salty we could hardly eat them. The mango pudding was just not good at all. Some of the appetizers were pretty good, and the decor is cute, though. Service was slow.

Great food. Fun atmosphere. Eclectic mix of clientele- super interesting to people watch! Parking was the only bummer. Tiny parking lot at entrance was full at 4pm on a Saturday! :-(. Love the Starling overall, though.

Pleasant enough server who made an effort. Food slow to come out, watched loads of other tables order things well after us get their food first. In fairness, server removed the wings from our bill given the slowness which was a nice and appropriate gesture. Issue with this place though is the food. The 5 spice wings aren't nearly flavorful enough as they don't have any salt on them. The chicken yakasobi is very oily.. far too much used. The tom kha soup was good. The old fashioned cocktail my wife ordered was just ok. They also nickel and dime you to death with 4% fee for using a credit card which is strange and a bit of gamesmanship to avoid listing an even higher price I suppose Overall, the flavor balance is not sharp enough for the prices being charged. We live a mile away but won't be back, which is a shame since the ambience is nice. Upgrade the consistency and flavor profile to match the prices being charged and you'll have a winner

✨ Starling the trifecta: flawless ambiance, impeccable service, and bold, creative flavors. The space feels intentional and warm, the staff is genuinely attentive, and every dish brings a unique twist that keeps you curious. A standout experience from start to finish.

Our server was excellent and knowledgeable. My friend got the chicken yakisoba and ice cream sandwich and had no complaints. I got the hamachi crudo, the grilled skirt steak and the ube tres leches cake. All of my food was delicious. The only complaint we had was that it took me asking about four cocktails until one was in stock.

Incredible decor and atmosphere. Food was fantastic and the wait staff was great with suggestion on food to order. We had six in our group and everyone agreed that it was an overall A+ location. So happy to find this place!

Every dish I ordered came covered in cilantro, which I truly hate. What is irritating is the fact that it was not listed on the menu. My wife's and niece's dinner were inedible. Only my granddaughter's meal of fried rice was acceptable. So, I paid $250 for a dinner consisting of fried rice and french fries. I will never return!!!

We went with our adult children. They had been to Starling. We had not. After reading many opinions regarding price, service, food, etc. I found myself quite skeptical and me expectations high. I was overwhelmed by everything Starling has to offer. From the valet who parked our car to the wonderful waitstaff and of course, the over the top delicious food. I did not find anything overpriced given the portion size. A great menu for vegetarians and vegans. They can accommodate dietary restrictions. Overall, I highly recommend. It's always a lovely experience to have wonderful food along top notch service.

The service had a lot to be desired. 1. My vanilla latte didn't have vanilla but maybe she only heard latte. 2. I was surprised it took 45+mins to get our food when the restaurant was less than half full. 3. We had to ask for water. 4. The hash brown were burnt on top and barely warm in the middle. 5. The spoon fell into the plate of Cilbir when it was brought to the table - our server said “I'll bring you a new spoon” but she disappeared and we had to flagged down someone else.

Amanda was such an amazing server! She was so patient with us as we caught up! And the food and coffees were delicious! Would recommend!

It's a fun place with an interesting menu. As a starter the hummus plate is fantastic. Our group of four ordered four different entrees, which we shared - all was very good.

Service and space was great for meeting up with a friend for a meal. Had green beans to share and we each had an order of tacos. Food came out at a cold lukewarm temperature- not great. And steak in tacos was all fat, and the tortillas were drenched in grease and not toasted. Food came to $43 per person and not worth it at all.
