I loved this place before the remodel and new management but what happened?!
Too many menu changes in the last few months and for the worse- plus big price increases. Very limited choices compared to last year. It also has the vibe of a Perkins - very bright lighting, boring decor and overall feel. Waitstaff are frantic and disorganized. Hard pass!

Today, this Edina Tavern location, gets a great new employee - Emma. She’s from woodbury and was the Manager there. She made the decision to go back to serving because it’s better in her life. That’s a tough decision and one I respect. But we lose a great person and someone we’ll miss. My buddy and I hit the Tavern Woodbury on tuesdays. Emma’s a warm face and connects w the people (thank you for that). I wish her the best. I hope the Tavern understands what an asset she is?

This is an amended review. It's been a couple years since I last came here and unfortunately it's just not as good as it used to be. The entire place feels more sterile with less personality. My fav thing on the menu (blue cheese chips) has moved to a side dish vs an app and is a bit different now and definitely not as good. Burger was solid but overall this went from being one of my favorite restaurants in MSP to ho-hum evelated Applebee's.

Used to be a place to get a solidly good and reasonably priced meal, but no more. There have been multiple new menus in the past couple years, each shrinking the food options significantly (old favorites are long gone). Prices have risen with each menu and portions have shrunk. The food is...okay? But really overpriced for what you get. I ordered an appetizer as a main: Crab Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms ($18). Was expecting portabella mushroom caps. Got 6 quarter-sized mushrooms (possibly baby bella?). Stuffing had some crab, but was mostly binder. Literally 9 bites of food. That's ridiculous. My husband ordered a medium burger that was still bleeding. The new atmosphere is nice and the service was excellent, but this place is not worth the price of admission any longer.

I had a Reuben sandwich and a mocktail drink. It was nice to catch up with an old friend that's a fellow franchise owner of the maids

This redesign sucked all the charm out of the place (and all the regulars)
