We've been going to Britton's for more than 25 years when we stay at our seasonal cottage or when we go into the BWCAW. It's a great little spot on the next street over from the Ely "main street". Bonnie (owner), her family, and her team have become family friends and we get hugs every time we come in. My wife loves the stuffed hashbrowns and if it's not too busy, asks for them extra crispy. I usually go with #7 (eggs/bacon/toast american fries) or an enormous pancake, but Britton's has all of the traditional favorites. Truly a treasure of Ely!

The food here is amazing! Huge portion sizes. The food is so tasty. They had homemade wheat bread that was really good. Coffee was very good as well. Service was great! Waitress was very friendly, attentive, and continued to refill coffee promptly. The only downside is they only accept cash or check. But this place still deserves 5 stars. Definitely recommend to all!

The staff were smiling and excited to serve us. I had the stuffed hash-browns which are a staple of Britton’s. The homemade cinnamon raisin bread was spectacular. If you want an amazing breakfast do yourself a favor and hit up Britton’s.
