“This was my favorite coffee place in Ely back in 2017. I still talk about it and think about it to this day. I moved back home to Ohio that same year. I hope one day to return to Ely, even just as a vacation, and this will be the first place I go! Love you forever Log Cabin Coffee!!”

“We've been going to Britton's for more than 25 years when we stay at our seasonal cottage or when we go into the BWCAW. It's a great little spot on the next street over from the Ely "main street". Bonnie (owner), her family, and her team have become family friends and we get hugs every time we come in. My wife loves the stuffed hashbrowns and if it's not too busy, asks for them extra crispy. I usually go with #7 (eggs/bacon/toast american fries) or an enormous pancake, but Britton's has all of the traditional favorites. Truly a treasure of Ely!”

“Our whole family was in Ely for a week and ate at the food truck 3 nights. we tried almost everything and it was all AMAZING. The food was authentic and fresh beyond expectations. The owner's are very friendly.”

“Literally the very best bar in Ely! We have gone to pretty much every single place here on our vacation and have decided this is the coolest bar in town! Super friendly, decent prices and did not feel “locally judged” when walking in. We had a blast! Thank you Kwazy Wabbit!!”

“Just when you think this place can’t get any better, they get Pho! I just got to try the sliced beef, and I have to say it’s amazing we get to have food like this in Ely! Regular can easily feed 2 people! Thanks for all you guys do!”

“Surprisingly good and a great value. When lots of establishments have to close early, it’s tasty gas station pizza for the win! Choose your toppings— no charge— one flat, predictable price. We usually get the thin crust & it feels light and also satisfying.”

“Yesterday we brought a group of bikers up there for a charity ride with proceeds going to the ALS Association. The staff handled the large crowd very well. They were friendly and the service was awesome. Sheila was awesome to deal with during the planning phase of our ride. Thank you for being part of this year’s Ride to fight ALS!”

“It's the bar that time forgot in the town that time stopped looking for about 20 years ago. It's a friendly place, seems like a locals hangout but a very welcoming atmosphere. Great place to go when depression strikes and you want to be surrounded by something worse.”

“Excellent meal on a winter Saturday night. Staff was warm & welcoming. We had the traditional walleye dinner and both the fish & the chips were exceptional! Also enjoyed the sweet chili wings! Slightly expensive but the food was great. Beautiful rustic atmosphere overlooking the lake. We’ll be back!”

“Zaverl's is a great dive bar that has an amazing karaoke night. While I was visiting, Ely, my cousin said we all had to experience the karaoke night at Zarerl's. I don't know what blew me away, more. The fact that, Ed Ely the host was 80 years old, or some of the incredible voices that performed. Karaoke was out on the spacious patio. In addition to the monitor that the performer used, there was an addition big screen for the audience to follow along. There were many times that it was more like a sing-a-long, then a single performance. What also made it fun, was that the crowd applauded and cheered every performer, no matter how good or bad they were. We ordered a supreme pizza to enjoy while watching all the singers. It was delicious for a dive bar pizza. I fairly certain, it was frozen, but it was damn good. The inside of the bar was the original vintage decor, which made it a classic dive bar. Another nice touch, the owner herself was serving the tables out on the patio. She was a delight to talk and laugh with. In Ely, I recommend you stop by and have some fun.”

“Great food great service w a smile. Great views of Shagawa lake from the porch and windows.Kid-friendliness: We’ve been going there for more than 15 years- since mine were all littles. Always accommodated them. High chairs, boosters, menus, crayons ?️ etc.”

“We got breakfast subs with our 5 small children. The staff was SO KIND… They were incredibly efficient and helped us by cutting the sandwiches down for the kids and carrying them to the table. The woman and young man working were DELIGHTFUL. We will be back!Kid-friendliness: Kind, engaged with the kids… and cut our sandwiches into thirds and put them in separate baskets… then carried them to the table. So kind!”

“I recently visited Dairy Queen Grill & Chill and I must say, I was impressed! The burgers were juicy and flavorful, and the fries were crispy and delicious. But the real star of the show was the Blizzard, it was heavenly! The service was fast and friendly too. Highly recommend!”

“What a hidden gem ? at small Ely. We went to Boathouse Brewpub for the duck wings,unfortunately it was pizza night only so we had the sausage and pepper pizza on a thin crust and it was amazing. Crispy and toasted crust with the perfect amount of filling. They also had the smoked gouda chicken soup ?. It was very good with a lot of flavour. Robin was very helpful,gave us an amazing experience. I reccomend it a million times.”
