Gator's Grilled Cheese Emporium

We discovered Gator's in 2018 when I took my husband to Ely to show him where I would spend my summers. Gator's was an IMMEDIATE favorite, and we've returned many times since. Always busy, also always worth it. Trust the daily special!! ♥️

I have been to Gator’s many times before, and every time the food is spot-on. I especially appreciate the Veterans Day meal! Not only is it refreshing to be appreciated, but it provides an avenue to bring veterans in the area together, which is invaluable to a demographic prone to isolation. Thank you so much Gator’s!

My spouse and I always make sure to come here whenever we're in Ely.

Even though I'm lactose intoletant, I'm always willing to spend the following day suffering through the digestion simply because I love their food so much. (Don't worry, my spouse is able to digest dairy and they have no problems digesting. They love their food as well).

Really nice breakfast spot. Very tasty food with generous portions. Had one of the best breakfast sandwiches ever. The Saturday morning we went Erin did it all! Took orders, cooked and served. A real dynamo. Definitely recommend Gator's.

Gaters is named after a rescue dog who was allowed a great second life. Erin was our waitress and chef and made us the most amazing food! The service was some of the best I've had, and she was so personable and kind. This is a must stop when you come to Ely!

The food was hot, fresh, delicious, and delivered within MINUTES of ordering! Erin (the waitress and breakfast cook) is friendly and available without being overbearing. The menus contain something for everyone, even with a breakfast salad (which is much more than just greens). It was so good, we had breakfast, and then came back for lunch. Definitely must eat here when visiting Ely!

Prices are a tad high, but I'm 41 years old and their wheat toast was the best toast I've had in my entire life. It was seriously wow-worthy and one-of-a-kind. All other food was good too.
