What an awesome small town, local bar! My family travels to Ely once a year for a week-long vacation, where we spend plenty of time in the local bars and restaurants in the evenings. While we enjoy them all, we always find our way back to Samz Place for several visits. This hidden gem has a very warm and welcoming environment with friendly bartenders and locals. The bucket special during the Vikings game was a bonus, and the pizzas are pretty tasty too. We look forward to visiting...
Amazingly comfortable small town bar with friendly people, outstanding service! Limited food options (e.g. snacks, mostly), but the decor is charming and the people are unforgettable.
Cute wood decor with some good entertainment. Frozen pizzas available. Outside seating but no service. Popcorn machine.
