Our morning commenced with the Holy Hamloaf breakfast sandwich and hot chocolate. Despite a brief five-minute wait, the sandwich arrived lukewarm and lacked significant flavor. The hot chocolate, however, was served hot and was quite enjoyable.
Subsequently, we sampled the Swedish Sota sliders, which were prepared without delay. Unfortunately, the buns were hard, and the sliders were cold, leading to disappointment, especially as this was our inaugural year exploring new culinary options at the fair.

Great food awesome cause !!!!!
My husband and I always try to stop by the Hamline Church Dining Hall for breakfast whenever we get to the fair early. It's become a bit of a tradition for us. The food is consistently delicious, and it's one of the few spots where we can find something hearty but also relatively healthy.
This time, we split the Holey Hamloaf Sandwich and the Hamline Eggers Sandwich, and we also got a cup of fruit, milk, and bottled water. The breakfast sandwiches are filling, flavorful, and very reasonably priced. I really appreciate that they offer fresh fruit, milk, and water, even though those items are definitely on the pricey side. The cup of fruit is $7, and both the milk and bottled water are $4.50 each. Still, it's nice to have the option for something nutritious when most fair food tends to be fried and sugary.
All in all, it’s a warm and welcoming place with solid breakfast options that keep us coming back year after year.

Little trouble getting my coffee topped off, still had a lovely breakfast at the MN State Fair…this has replaced The Peg as my morning fair tradition

GREAT service and price for the fair. Volunteers are so nice. Tables get coffee service. There is creamer, sugar, salt, pepper, syrup at the tables. The pancakes are super yummy but the eggs are watery. Line is super long, of course. Worth it because it creates such a great base before eating all the other fair food

Great people and friendly service. Unfortunately food was poor. Blueberry pancakes were uncooked in the middle and eggs were an undercooked powdered egg soup. We went first day of the fair so perhaps these were Startup issues but certainly not worth waiting in line

Holey hamloaf is waiting for you
Nummy num! Lived their blueberry pancakes.
Great place to sit down, and have a home cooked meal if you want to avoid fair food. Everyone was nice, and the food was good for cafeteria standards.
