“Great food, great service, very friendly. Date night once a week. This was the place for date night every Thursday for many years with my wife. When I brought coworkers for lunch it became at least once a week meetup till I retired. I still go as often as I can to meet friends, family and the great staff.”

“Once again, the Falcon Heights location peeps makes a tasty Philly Greek Gryo, customized to my preferences, at a very reasonable price (great value for qty. & quality of food), but this time an employee (Trey) sees me getting out of my car and meets me at the door with my odor. “Update! Back again in 2024 and it was a hit once again. Great spot for the family in an old-school fair tradition. Everyone was happy with the breakfast sandwich, French toast, pancakes, and Swedish egg coffee. We'll be back in 2025...

Original review from 2023: Long-time gems like this make the fair unique. Very friendly people and typically a much shorter line than the Hamline dining hall. The croissant on the breakfast sandwich was extremely fluffy. Everyone at our table was incredibly friendly, as were the workers, from the host to the checkout clerk. A nice relaxed respite from the chaos the rest of the fairgrounds can be.”

“This is a nice small store of UMN cheeses, meats, honey, and ice creams. Their variety is a bit surprising given the small store size. They are located in room 166 and open Wednesday afternoons 2:00 - 5:00.”

“Delicious. First time experiencing at the Minnesota State Fair. Line was short. Service came fairly quick. I had a bacon Swiss cheese crepe. It was loaded with bacon. It was filling and really hit the spot.”

“On the way to work at the fair. I'm working here at MSF, hometown is back in Dallas, TX. This is hands down one the BEST pizza I've had from the Midwest. Wow! Mind blown. And the employee here, her name is Seven, she is incredibly nice and down to earth. She was patient with me not knowing what to order. Definitely appreciate her patience with all of us fair workers. I'm definitely stopping here again before the fair ends. Thanks Topppers for an excellent lunch. The pizza toppings were fresh and the cheese was amazing. Fantastic pizza! 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕”

“Tonight the Manager,I believe she said her name was Latavia..Sorry if im way off about your name, any how She just provided the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE ever.The 2 young men working with her are also outstanding employees. My sister did an online order and an hour later still hadn't showed up.She called the location and the young lady issued her a credit. We ended uo going to Jimmy's and just ordered our food and this young lady really turned a bad experience into a major positive. She didn't make any excuses, she apologized, they made our food,she had a smile the entire time and literally made us forget we were annoyed about having to come pick food up. If everyone treated one another like this the world would be a greater place! These guys are awesome, thanks for the positive interaction.”

“Food was nicely presented and tasty. The dessert was fantastic. Didn't have any non-alcoholic options to pair with dinner.
Biggest negative was how loud it was in the dining room. We felt like our servers were yelling to present the dish. It was uncomfortable how loud the room was with only 20 or so people in there. I felt it really made the dining experience rather chaotic. My companions and I were unable to have an awesome experience due to the noise.”

“We were here for dinner over the weekend and everything about this place was phenomenal we tried multiple things off of the to share or not portion of the menu and loved every bit of it. The whole grilled fish our waitress mentioned rotates depending on what is available fresh and it was cooked to Perfection and probably our favorite thing all weekend. The cocktail menu is unique and everything that we had the opportunity to try was delicious I highly recommend doing the cocktail flight to anybody who doesn't have a favorite spirit. Staff was incredibly friendly and knew what they were talking about if you had questions. To those looking at going here reservations are a must!!!! Great atmosphere as well”

“The staff are incredible and the food is outstanding I've never had anything like it, not to mention the bar is so gorgeous I could look at it forever. My husband and I have been here three times and we will be back again, soon I hope! This is the perfect spot wether you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary, or just want to try incredible food some place new! “We held our company Christmas Party at their beautiful restaurant and had such a great time! The staff were so attentive and wonderful to interact with throughout the whole evening! We ordered an array of food and our employees couldn’t stop talking about how fantastic the prime rib and KFC (Korean fried cauliflower) were! The talk around the shop about this event and the delicious food went on for days! We all had such a great experience from start to finish. They made it so easy to plan, set up, host and tear down. We would highly recommend anyone looking to host a party to come here! Now if you are just looking for a bite to eat for a date night or family night out, they also have you covered. No matter what plans you have this is the spot to be! A huge thanks to Lake and Irving for all they did for us and a massive thank you to Chris the chef! That meal was better than we could have ever expected!”

“Loved this spot! It's good for light lunches and dinners. They food was very good, I had the special, which was super yummy! They can accommodate kids and people with disabilities, there is a wheelchair accessible restroom. Their patio is very decent sized. I think the indoor space isn't as large, so something to consider when it isn't nice out. They have beer, wine and cocktails.”

“It's Taco Tuesday and I was craving Mexican food, but I didn't just wanna go to the type of place you think of when "Mexican" is brought up... I'm fancy, so I wanted something a bit more upscale. I did a little bit of research and wouldn't you know it... Colita came up. So here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set south of downtown and a bit west of The Mall of America on Penn Avenue is this gem. There is no private parking lot, but plenty of street parking to leave your fly ride. But once you walk up to the restaurant you can immediately understand the message they're trying to send. Everything looks so modern, straightforward with straight lines, grey colors and light woods. There is a small outdoor section where you can dine if you get lucky enough to land a spot there. Inside carries a very similar style with a little nod to the pueblos and architecture of the southwest. The decor is minimalistic and the "loudest" thing in the room is the live plant wall seated directly behind the bar, which was super cool. Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but we had no issues whatsoever. Food/Drink: I was able to try so many different dishes and drinks here and the list is below... 🍹: Xochitl In Love 🍸: La Clandestina 🐟: Tuna Tostada 🌮: Chicken Tinga Tostada 🦪: Seared Scallops 🫓: Tlayuda 🥃: Colita Old Fashioned 🥩: Lamb Barbacoa Tacos 🫔: Duck Tamal However, my favorite things were the Lamb Barbacoa Tacos, Duck Tamal and Seared Scallops, in that order. The food here is phenomenal, the drinks are excellently crafted and things are served tapas style so you don't get too full off of just one thing! Order a whole bunch of stuff and share with the table! Value: As I mentioned earlier, I wanted upscale and the priced dddooo reflect that. Lol. This is a nice place so be prepared to spend... Like you're downtown somewhere. In conclusion, I loved this place and I will come back over and over. Check this place out the next time you're in the area!”

“Very expensive for us but it was a fun experience. The food was good and my son who's in a mission to order French fries at every fine dining restaurant was very pleased with his $15 fries! I wasn't blown away by the drink I got, for the price I was hoping for something that went down a little smoother.”

“This is one of my favorite restaurants. Great food and lots of vegetarian options. I never miss to order momos, garlic naan, and kataar aaloo made with jackfruit. Portions are good too! The owner of this restaurant is very friendly and always stops by to ask if everything was good. Definitely a great place to try Nepalese cuisine.”
