Turkey tasted like being cooked in salt water. My $18 Turkey leg less than a side of a chicken quarter…for $18 not juicy but water… please bring back the smoked turkey leg…. These people don't know to to Tuekey legs….

My son wanted a turkey leg at the fair so I googled where to get the best one and Google told me here. GOOGLE LIED. We have been eating smoked turkey legs at Ren Fest for a lifetime (always delicious) and have never had one from the fair. Words cannot explain how not giant, dry, bland, tough, overly crispy yet also slimy and all around disgusting this $18 abomination was.

My son was filled with guilt and sadness when, soon after trying his best to suffer through this, he asked if he could throw it away. After taking a bite, I said of course.

We go to the state fair every year and we had never tried this before due to hearing mixed reviews over the years. When we went to the stall, it was deserted - and I can see why. This is without a doubt and by a landslide the grossest thing we have ever tried at the fair, and honestly one of the worst things I’ve ever tried in general anywhere. And no, the bbq sauce didn’t help!!! Save your money and your taste buds and avoid at all costs!!!!! Did I mention this thing was $18?!?!?!!

People work way too hard for way too little to be serving them inedible things like this. Whether a turkey leg is smoked or baked, for $18 it should be edible.

Always our first stop at the Fair. Heathy fresh and delish. This year we spoke at length with Blake (the key guy there) and learned about Turkey growing and all the challenges the farmers face, this year especially. Also this year, ordered a turkey leg and it was the best ever. Nice to buy from a minnesota based vendor. This is an essential stop for first time fair goers as well as the most well seasoned attendee.

First time and never again. Nothing like what they said it would be. Plain turkey on a bun.

This sandwich has been my #1 fair food for forever. Sadly, something has changed from 2023 to 2024. Portion size has dropped significantly. It used to be pouring out of the bun to the point where the only way to eat it was with a fork for the first few bites. The turkey didn’t even fill the bun this year. It also used to be so tender and juicy and this year was dry. Threw it out after a few bites. I love this place so much and really hope when I get it next year that it’s back to being the best thing you can get at the fair.

Purchased $14 sandwich on August 25. Turkey was overcooked and dry. The bun was dry. No mayo packets. Too dry to eat. What happened?

My $14 turkey sandwich purchased 8/22/2024 was overcooked and dry. I could barely choke it down. In the past it has always been tender and juicy.
