Great service and very delicious food, good choice of beers as well. We were there with some colleagues and everybody was very content. The only thing was that the place was pretty full and loud.

The lunch specials were the star of the meal! Three of us had a different soup & sandwich combo ($10.99), which were very good! A little disappointing was the Jambalaya ($18.99) which wasn’t as spicy as we would expect. Good tap beers, good service from Ava.I would come here for lunch or happy hour!

I have been to Mallards many times and have tried a variety of items on the menu. Today though I was disappointed. I ordered the blackened fish tacos and I can say I won't order those again in the future. They were incredibly sour. It was also very difficult to eat because the tortilla used just completely fell apart from how wet the food was with the fish, slaw, pico etc. I can normally be alright with things being messy but the food itself didn't taste good.

Lunch for 3 and 2nd visit at this location! Our server was fantastic (we had a couple requests to our menu choices) and she was very accommodating! The Walleye Tacos were great with extra Pico and Cilantro. Other menu items ordered were a Burger (add bacon) and the Taco Salad (huge!) Food temps were all good and service was quicker than expected even at prime lunch time and restaurant was at least 1/2 full. Very clean restrooms and open but comfortable atmosphere. Would recommend this location.

Great food, great staff, decent happy ? hour. The 2 star service goes not to the wonderful bartenders, servers, hosts, and house management.The 2 stars go to upper management. Who changed the rules of their own gift cards.I purchased $1000 in the holidays. And I use the bonus giftbcards whenever I go their. I should say I only go to restaurants that have a happy hour. Retired on a fixed income. It's the only way we can afford Mallards.Now, this year, you can't use the bonus gift cards whenever you want. Yes, it has always stated, not valid, with other offers.Well, I purchased these bonuses at various places, and there is no issues.We are fairly regulars there, my wife more than me. Just for the happy hour. But I guess management doesn't appreciate their regular customers. And I don't appreciate being embarrassed when paying my bill.Jimmy's in Vadnais has a much better happy hour, and they accept their bonus gift script anytime.
