Worst dq on the planet hands down. Get it together! They only care about money from tourists while treating locals as the plague. Wanna try to visit in the slow season? Think again, only open for events. I've never hated a location so much. Owners must be horrible people.

So pleased to leave this review because it was a very good experience. My wife and I were visiting the area and one night we needed to get away from our rainy campsite. We ordered online as we pulled into town and expected a longer wait. (Sometimes, small town stores like this are popular and become overwhelmed.)As I waited for the order, there were friendly patrons enjoying the fire outside welcoming me to join them. Inside the music was festive 40s and 50s. Everyone was in great spirits.Our food was hot and fresh; very tasty! Such a warm moment to see complete strangers coming together to enjoy some DQ, smiling, waiting patiently, holding doors for each other,.. as life should be.Parking: Yes, Grand Marais can get busy, and parking can get tricky, but as long as you know that entire part of town is like that, you just do the best you can. It is popular for good reason!

Lovely staff and beautiful location. Food is standard DQ fare so yummy. It is a local hot spot so there will be a bit of a wait during peak hours.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access and low or no curbs outside.

The service really diminished the food. The employees were too busy playing on their phones, making videos, and they messed up our order in the process. When we were trying to get someone's attention to tell them our order was wrong, they were still on their phone, as seen in my photo. It's absolutely ridiculous.

This place was the worst I went there yesterday to purchase some blizzard for my child. The young lady at the cash register was behaving awful she was arguing with some other colleagues. I was right Infront of her standing to order she was very ghetto!!! She was even saying curse word and I was right Infront of her you guys need to train your employees better . She needs to be fired she was wearing a red sweat shirt with glasses awful behavior from her !!!!

I was going to lower my rating, instead I will make a suggestion. I started ordering online in hopes to lessen my frustration with crowds and chaos while visiting dq. However the fact that they do not have an online pickup area only causes problems every single time. Just to get to the counter to tell someone you have an online order is a battle in itself. I won't be returning until this is resolved.
Great ice cream, service slow at times due to customer traffic. No longer a low cost restaurant, be prepared to pay $5-6 for a malt or shake and a cone is over $2.

They get your order wrong EVERY time. When you order a combo in can't be any simpler. Burger, fries, drink. How do you miss the fries EVERY time? Order a salad. Expect to eat it with your hands because apparently throwing in that plastic fork is too difficult to remember. None of this should be a surprise. Watch what happens behind the counter and it always looks like complete chaos. And $35 for fast-food lunch for two??!! i go through Grand Marais once/year, and many years ago I said "never again." Well, now I'm committed. There are other options in town.

Good food after a long day! The decor of the place and the music wasn't very inviting but it was comfortable. The service could use a tiny bit of work. The guy taking the orders didn't listen to the customers well and his voice was so quiet that no one could hear him. I did however like how they paid attention to details like sending someone out to clean tables often.
